'03 4Runner MPG Gauge make me feel good17 Apr 2004 13:44 GMT1
The fuel mileage gage in my '03 4Runner is consistently 2-3 miles off.
It tends to be more accurate in long trip, only off by 1 MPG. But
around town, it always off by 2-3 MPG. Do you experience te same
thing. Made me feel good until I find out though.
Swinging Idleing problem on 22RE 4WD '88 Toyota PU.16 Apr 2004 23:19 GMT5
Hey guys, I've had this truck for just about a year, and lately the idle
has started to swing in just neutral after drving it for a bit-- it revs
up a little bit and then goes down, and keeps on doing it. It doesn't
really affect performance that I notice and I can drown it out ...

Installing after-market tachometer on 22-RE '88 PU engine (fuel injected, 4x4, 4 cyl 2.4 liter)16 Apr 2004 02:36 GMT2
Hey, I've been wondering how to hook up a tachometer to my truck-- it
does not have one in the dash, and would be useful especially with the
diagnosing of some problems I have.
I'll probably just end up buying one from Auto Zone or NAPA or
Valves16 Apr 2004 02:31 GMT3
I own a '89 Yota with a 22RE and I want to adjust my valves on
Saturday.  My truck has 213k miles on her and I just want to do this
to put my mind at ease.  I have my Chiltons and was wondering if there
was anything else I should worry about.  Any input is appreciated.
1990 Clutch/tranny question16 Apr 2004 00:36 GMT2
   I have a 1990 Toy 4X4 Xcab V6 5 speed.  I had the tranny rebuilt 1 mos
ago with 170,000 miles on board due to the gear shift lever wit allot of
play, slipping out of gears 1-2-3 occasionally.  I brought the tranny to the
rebuilder and when it was done he said all the gears were ...

Getting prepared to buy my Tundra as soon as the loan is approved! I'm
considering having the dealership install the Snugtop. Has anyone had
any experience with the Toyota dealer installing their Snugtop?

'04 Tundra - Passenger side airbag shutoff?15 Apr 2004 20:24 GMT17
In my search for information regarding 04 Tundras, it has been
published on quite a few of the "price estimate" sites that the
passenger side air bag on the 04 Tundra double cab can be switched
off. A salesman at a dealership told me no. Who's right?

4Runner difficult starting in AM, condensation in exhaust14 Apr 2004 20:38 GMT1
I have an '87 4Runner with 240k miles. It is the 4 cylinder model with
manual transmission.
For the past couple of months it has been slow to start after it has
not been driven for 8 hours or more. It takes 15-20 seconds of
rear proportional valve adjustment14 Apr 2004 17:28 GMT1
I have 1993 4X4 pick up with airbag helpers in the rear. This raises
up the rear end when the bed is empty. Which way does one adjust the
shackle on the load sensing rod to get the rear brakes to work when
there is no load in the bed?
2002 Tundra - Heated Mirrors?14 Apr 2004 07:40 GMT3

It's really annoying without them...

Manually downshifting automatic transmission.  Opinions?14 Apr 2004 02:48 GMT7
What's the opinion of people on this?   Anyone know if it is bad for the
transmission to manually downshift into lower gears?   I like to do this
when coming to a stop,    but someone told me he did this with a Camry,  and
he wrecked the tranny.
