Previous Tacoma owner 1995 Ext Cab. Sold years ago. Great truck. Looking at getting back into the truck market. Need a double cab. Leaning towards Tacoma 2WD Double Cab but am intrigued with look/drive of the GMC Canyon. I've read good reviews of the Canyon but still

| New Tacoma Prerunner | 19 Jul 2004 23:14 GMT | 22 |
I just purchased a new 2004 Prerunner with the TRD package. No complaints so far but I'm going through a little buyer's remorse for not following through with my first choice, a Dodge Dakota. The local stock of Dakotas were somewhat limited. Help me get over my second thoughts by ...

| Feature?? | 19 Jul 2004 21:07 GMT | 2 |
Mt son showed me a feature (I guess that is what it is) on my 03 Tundra. When starting the truck, as soon as the engine starts turning over, I can let go of the key and it will continue on its own until the truck starts. Is there a reason for this or just the design?

| 85' 22R specifications | 19 Jul 2004 15:34 GMT | 1 |
Does anyone know where I could find specifications for an 85' toyota pick-up? For example, the ignition timing setting and the engine idle speed setting. My truck was re-painted so I can't see the VECI label under my hood.

| 85' 22R over heating | 19 Jul 2004 07:05 GMT | 3 |
I bought an 85' toyota w/ a blown head gasket. I changed the cylinder head and bought all new gaskets. When I drive my truck up hills or hold or throttle my truck for a long time it over heats. Also, I have 488 gearing and my truck struggles up hills.

| Which viscosity Mobil 1 for 22RE? | 18 Jul 2004 14:43 GMT | 14 |
Yeah, I'm going to use Mobil 1 synthetic oil next oil change for my 22RE powered pickup. Some say to get 20-50, some say 30 weights best. What viscosity's recommended for that size engine? And is it best to use a mobil one oil filter w/ the Mobil 1 oil, or is that overkill? Thanks.

| '89 Truck started, stalled and now won't start | 16 Jul 2004 21:45 GMT | 3 |
I had been driving the truck (automatic transmission), stopped for about 10-15 minutes. Started it back up and it stalled. When I tried to start it, it acted like it was flooded. Had it towed to mechanic and he cannot find the problem. I know I read something about this problem ...

| '03 Tundra: TRD or JBA headers | 16 Jul 2004 19:41 GMT | 1 |
I'm thinking of installing headers on my 03 Tundra V8. I like the TRD due to the warranty issues and them being Toyota and all. HAving said that, the JBA appear to offer the same or similar performance and install, at a lower cost. Any advice would be appreciated.

Talked to fellow Prerunner owner a few days ago that had a factory installed sunroof. What years were these available on Tacomas? Nothing is mentioned in the current Tacoma catalog or the Toyota's website.

I managed to blow the 80 amp alternator fusible link that is located in the fuse box near the battery. Is this held in by 2 bolts? I have removed the easily accessible one on the aft side but I think there is one on the forward side. I just can't see it. If so, how do you get to
