| Adjusting Rear Drum Brakes- '93 P.U. | 14 Jul 2004 20:01 GMT | 2 |
I replaced the shoes on my truck's rear drum brakes ... now how do you adjust them? Backing up repeatedly adjusts the brakes on the American cars I've replaced the brakes on. For THIS truck, the manual says to screw the adjustment shaft all the way in (so that the shoes are as far ...

I'm having problems locating 22R steel-backed timing chain guides. I tried calling DOA Racing Engines in Lakewood CA, but the number was out of service, and there appears to be no current yellow pages listing. I also tried D.O.A. in North Carolina, but no one picks up

| Replace Rear Seal on 22R | 14 Jul 2004 10:59 GMT | 2 |
I got a 84 Pickup 4x4 with the 22R engine with 240,000 miles. Looks like I might be developing an oil leak, possibly a rear or front seal. Not sure yet, have to do a little detective work and find the leak. Got oil on the pan and can't locate the leak yet.

I've got an '00 Landcruiser with power antenna, that is actuated both via switch and by radio power-on. The plastic spline in the antenna has broken, so the antenna will not extend/retract via power. The motor is fine, but it appears that the plastic spline is missing about 4" of ...

My backup lights don't work on my 1996 rav 4. I replaced the bulbs. They still don't work. Could it be a bad backup light switch? It is a 5 speed with 167,000 trouble free miles. Thanks

| Wrist pin | 12 Jul 2004 21:51 GMT | 1 |
Okay, thanks for everyone's help with the previous problems. The one major lesson learned? Check and make sure you put the 15A "Engine" Fuse back into it's slot before trying to start the engine. Who would've thought that the engine will start and even run without that

Got about 1,000 miles on it. The temp gage is slightly (but noticeably) past the halfway mark with and without the A/C on. No other car I've ever owned ran this hot including a 95 Camry. Will it come down or is it normal for this engine?
