Hay I have an 87' Toy pickup and to be short and to the point. I replaced
the Cyl Head(Checker Auto Reman-ed head) and everything fits perfect
except the Distributor. The distributor has a step halfway down the shaft.

04 taco25 Aug 2004 12:48 GMT14
Looking at the '04 taco doublecab, V-6, auto, 4x2.
It can be ordered with a differential lock.  Is this used for getting
thru bad terrain at low speeds only?  Can you go around a corner with
the lock engaged?  Hi-speed driving?  Sorry if this is a dumb question.
A Taco Should Be Driven25 Aug 2004 09:07 GMT2
Is it true to say that if a car is not driven at all, the rubber seals
in the engine will dry out and become brittle and break, for they stay
lubricated when the car is driven?  Is that a true statement just for
cars?
How can I remove the TRD decals from a new Tacoma without hurting the paint?25 Aug 2004 06:55 GMT3
mudflap ripped off, stripped screw holes25 Aug 2004 05:29 GMT1
I made some custom front flaps after I lost one of my originals a few months
ago. A replacement would have been $106CDN. I ripped one of my replacements
clean off, took 2 of the 3 screws with it. The screw holes are stripped now.

Virginia vehicle safety inspectors are giving me grief about about a

The shroud, also known as the insulator, is a thin piece of aluminum

Steering box rebuild ?24 Aug 2004 04:24 GMT2
The kit costs $28.00 + Shipping. Has anyone rebuilt one using hand
tools? I sure hate to pay $350.00 or more for a new one just to stop a
leak from the power assist part.
New Tacoma / Bed covers23 Aug 2004 05:03 GMT1
I've got a whole list of things I want to carry with my new Tacoma, so
if this sort of thing bores you stop reading now!
1) Locking bed cover
Problem: I want to keep my bike covered and secure in the bed, and no
tick, tick, tick, tick. What is ticking on 3L V6?23 Aug 2004 01:33 GMT5
This has been bugging me for some time.
'93 P/U 4X4, 291k. It runs fine and the engine is real quite at idle,
but for this ticking noise. Sounds like a relay opening and closing twice
a second or so. Maybe faster. It goes faster with the engine RPM.

I notice a sending unit (sensor) that is behnind the oil filter and is
approximately 6 inches toward the rear of the engine.   There isn't any
wires plugged into the unit and I don't see any loose wire or any

I have 1996 Toyota Tacoma extra cab with 3RZ and a 5 speed. I am just
over 100k miles and will soon be needing to replace all the U-joints
on the rear driveshaft again AND the center carrier bearing, again.
Soooooo. With all that work to do, It might be simpler to just swap
