'89 22RE - Choke / Idle problem23 Sep 2004 12:39 GMT3
Doing some routine maintenance, (lubing, changing fluids, etc.), I
decided to pull my plugs out, check them and clean them (re-gap 2 of
them), checking the cap and sand the rotor contact. I also noticed the
O2 sensor was loose and tightened it.

Does anyone know anything about this.  It's a 2003 Tundra V8 4 X 4 with

they have a TSB on this.  Parts are ordered.  Also says he needs the
truck for the day.

First, how do I know which original equipment (not after-market)
What do you change also when you change the timing belt?20 Sep 2004 16:46 GMT4
My 1994 4Runner V6 engine has 140000 miles and I am about to have the
timing belt changed again.  Since I am going to have someone else
change the timing belt, I might have them change other components as
well.  Usually what else do you change when you change the timing

Tacoma vs. Frontier20 Sep 2004 12:28 GMT11
All--
Waffling between the two, w/ auto, 4x4.  Leaning toward the
Frontier, as the cash rebate is pretty good, has a crewcab+long bed, nice
styling.

4 cyl vs. 6 in 4WD vehicles19 Sep 2004 21:44 GMT8
All--
Still obsessing about gas mileage--turning into a Greenie, I suspect.
The mpg rating for the 2.7 L  4 cyl is only marginally better than the 3.4 L
V6  (4 WD Tacomas, auto):  18/21 vs. 17/19.    If  4WD is *not* engaged,

I'm about to wire a boat trailer also and...before I drop the
$150 at the dealer for the factory harness; is the factory harness a "plug N
play type?  And how easy is it to hook up.  Also, is there a GOOD equivalent
at a lesser price?  Any information would be appreciated.
