ABout 170K miles in Alabama weather. No other problems. Factory air

'81 pickup, 22R. Alternator light stays all the time, and even after
engine warms up, it still idles too fast. Alternator has about 3 years
and 3,000 miles (not a typo, I don't drive the truck much anymore) on

Hey, I've been having trouble starting my p/u for couple years now. Along
the way, I've put in a new battery, new distributer, wires and plugs,
cleaned out the gas tank and replaced carburator twice, and alternator is
fairly new.

What error conditions make the brake light error indicator on dash
illuminate.
I know that one of the errors is low brake fluid but that is not my problem.
