Runs hot..09 Oct 2004 04:08 GMT5
I have a 98 4.3 V6 4x4.. It runs just fine and the temp gage always stays a
little under midpoint when I'm driving. The other day I was sitting in the
parking lot waiting for my wife to finish shopping and noticed the temp gage
was almost to the red zone.  I quickly turned off ...

22RE head gasket change - what else?06 Oct 2004 19:44 GMT7
I'm changing my head gasket, which blew while 4 wheeling, due to a bad
radiator cap and a hardly functional factory temp gauge (I've got the
minimal factory gauges, ie. no tach). Besides the timing chain, gears
and guides, what else should I replace? I'm trying to come up with a
83 Toyota truck lurching up hill06 Oct 2004 15:41 GMT1
My truck lurches when I head up hill....as if it is lacking fuel. My first
thought is the fuel pump...if I let off the accelerator and touch it
gently it will pick back up and then start to lurch again when the rpm's

trailer light converter05 Oct 2004 06:39 GMT6

I went to my local Toyota dealer and asked how much to replace it. They told
me $300!!!??
What's the deal? Can anyone offer  or suggest an alternative for me?
clicking noise from 3.0L engine -- normal?04 Oct 2004 20:09 GMT2
Hi, thinking of buying a 95 4Runner 3.0.  There's a clicking noise coming
from around the top of the engine that sounds like a lifter but I have heard
it might be the fuel injection.  Does a properly working FI make that noise?
TIA.

Didn't use the '93 Land Cruiser for one day. Tried to start it a day later
