| Tires losing air - alloy wheels | 30 Nov 2004 16:48 GMT | 13 |
Here's a mystery. Last January, my mechanic installed a set of Nokian WR tires on my 2002 Tacoma. Great tires for snow & rain, but they have a constant problem with losing more air than any tire I've dealt with in 35 years of driving. Example: I'll fill them to 34 lbs (cold) when ...

What spring, lever or bearing is making that annoying squeak when I push the clutch pedal in on my 2004 Tacoma? How do I make it go away? Is this worth a trip to the dealership?

| Any dry cell batteries fit a 2004 4Runner? | 29 Nov 2004 17:11 GMT | 2 |
Hey guys, I've been straining the brain thinking of what to get my dad for Christmas. I figured one of those dry-cell batteries would be nice, but Optima nor Exide (Orbital) batts will fit, or at least not according to their application guides.

I have a 1995 Tacoma 2WD which will not start hot in the heat (meaning if its below 50 it will start). Toyota charged me over a thousand dollars and said there was no problem. The only truth to that is they didn't fix anything!

Hello, I have been looking for a good used 00-01 Tundra in the 10k price range (Im on a tight budget) and have not found a one for under 11k uless it had very high mileage. My dealer had 2 that had 70k miles for 15,995 and a ragged out 4X4 for 14k and would not budge off price. I ...

| Torque setting question | 28 Nov 2004 23:59 GMT | 2 |
I don't have access to a maintenance book. Could someone tell me the inch/ foot pounds torque for the drive shaft bolt on a 2002 Tacoma 2WD? This is a routine 30k mile maint. item. Thanks

| Heat Problem (Addendum) | 28 Nov 2004 00:17 GMT | 2 |
My truck is an 85 with 166,000 miles. Although it never overheats, what is the probability that the water pump is starting to fail and that this could be the reason for no heat at the heater core radiator? I'm just grasping at straws at this point.

| Heat Problem | 28 Nov 2004 00:05 GMT | 3 |
My heater doesn't seem to work right on my 85 22RE Pickup. If I just let it idle to warm up it doesn't get very warm at all. If I drive it and get the RPM's up to 2000 or so it does get warm but never hot. The needle on the temp guage goes up to about 1/3 of the way to the red ...

Anyone know if the xrunner will be as impossible to get as the srunner? After spotting srunners at a dealer like 3 years ago, I couldn't find one when I wanted it. Why make a hotrod if people can't buy it? Brian

| first impression, test drove 2005 Tacoma 4x4 | 26 Nov 2004 22:21 GMT | 17 |
It was a 4 liter, V-6, TRD package, extra cab with aluminum wheels. While the truck looks great and has everything I wanted (including outside temp reading) it really fealt a little bit heavy/under-powered. Sticker price was $28k.
