Before I bought my 85 4-Runner in about 1996 and after I had excessive
tire wear on the outside of my tires (Goodyear Wrangler AS P235/75R15)
and about 2 years later I bought a new set of the same tires and
decided to pay a local Michellin tire dealer $30+tx to computer align

I just ordered a Snug Top shell25 Nov 2004 07:30 GMT3
Can anyone recommend a product to be used in my home garage that will enable
me to lift the shell off my Tundra once in a blue moon when I need to haul
something really tall? I understand the shell weighs 200lb or more. I want
something I can utilize by myself as no one is ever ...
Tundra VIP doesn't chirp24 Nov 2004 22:07 GMT7
I just bought a 2000 Tundra that has the VIP system. It didn't come with the
remotes so I went to Toyota and bought two of the two button remotes. After
they programmed them it seems to work. The horn sounds if the door is opened
and the alarm is set. The piezo? sounds if the ...

Can anyone recommend a source (other than a dealer) for the TOYOTA lettering
that goes on the tailgate (in my case, a '93)?
Thanks,

EFI fuse blowing (91 4Runner)24 Nov 2004 13:22 GMT3
This problem started last Saturday.  I take this 4Runner on weekend errands
and the like, and it's been no problem at all.  (I also drive it in the
snow, which makes the current situation slightly more urgent than if this
happened in June.)
Slow oil leak24 Nov 2004 05:23 GMT2
My late 80's 2WD truck with 2 BBl Carb and 22R engine with 150,000
miles just started to leak a little after sitting for about 6-8 hours.
It seems to leak about 6 drops of oil and drips below oil drain plug
area. I dont see any wet oil above the valve cover gasket and most of
Antifreeze Aroma24 Nov 2004 02:05 GMT3
The last couple of times that I turned on the heater in my '85 SR5 Extra
Cab pickup, I could smell the faint aroma of antifreeze.  This leads me to
believe that my heater core has sprung a leak.  I only get the smell for
the first couple of minutes of use and then it goes away ...

Toyota 4runner gear shifting problem23 Nov 2004 05:10 GMT3
I own a 91 Toyota 4runner and recently I have some weird gear shifting
problem. Sometimes when I start the car and shift the Gear to either
H2 or H4 the car does not move at all, when I shift the gear to 4 Low,
then the car moves in all gear positions (1,2,D and R). Usually, after
iridium spark plugs23 Nov 2004 03:43 GMT5
I am considering trying out iridium plugs for my '95 2.7 tacoma - does
anyone recommend one brand over another?  I know Denso and NGK both sell
iridiums.  Denso's are quite a bit more than NGK's however, leading me to
believe there might be a difference in quality/performance ...
Changing spark plugs- 4 cyl 2RZFE ? ?23 Nov 2004 03:41 GMT1
I WAS thinking about changing the plugs on my Taco. However, there is an
assembly that goes over the plugs that I don't know anything about and
suggests there's more to this than I thought.
Is changing the plugs on this engine best left to a mechanic? I'm basically
'93 Pickup - Can I improve the ride?23 Nov 2004 03:38 GMT1
I have a 93 Ext cab Pickup 2wd, v6 with 80k. I would like to improve
the ride. I drive it every day and I know it has many years left. After
12 years, I have less control and I feel the bumps alot more than the
old days. I bought it new and only put about 6 or 7k on it a year. It
tundras at dealer 23 Nov 2004 03:24 GMT4
I just went to one dealer near my home and they had a ton of tundras
with extended cabs for show but not one without.  Salesman said they
didn't have any to show because of the demand but said they can order.
I think he was bs'ing us about the demand because I think they want to
