Gas Mileage05 Nov 2004 17:04 GMT10
Recently bought my daughter an older (1991) 4Runner with the V6 and
automatic transmission.
Seems I may have made a big mistake in engine choice. Don't get me wrong, it
runs very well but it doesn't seem very powerful (someone told me thier 4cyl
Taco purchase - question for you financial whizzes04 Nov 2004 16:23 GMT14
I'm trying to figure out the best way to buy a new Taco and seems to me like
you need a crystal ball. My options are:
1) Sell some stock and pay cash.
2) Borrow from 401k and pay myself interest.
05 taco04 Nov 2004 16:07 GMT5
My local dealer has quite a few 05 tacos.  Single cabs, access cabs and
double cabs.  Went for a test drive of a double cab.  Sweet.  Very sweet.
The truck is damn near as big as the tundra.
Local dealer is playing hardball and demanding big bucks.  Major league bad
Camper shell hoist03 Nov 2004 21:56 GMT4
Anybody out there with some real world experience using a camper shell
hoist? I have a Leer fiberglass camper shell on the back of my '02
Tacoma and I'd love to easily remove it and store it above the truck
in the garage. Any recommendations of good manufacturers and/or brands
88 Van electrical glitch03 Nov 2004 21:08 GMT2
Greetings folks
I have a hopefully minor problem. Started the van a couple weeks ago and
all the idiot lights stayed on. Had this problem in the past and
it was the alternator that time. So I again replaced the brushes and
05 Tundra Dealer Experience Rant03 Nov 2004 15:35 GMT24
Recently I tried the Costco car buying service on an SR5 '05 Tundra Access
Cab, V8 with the auto tranny, but no sale.  The final number was about
$2,200 less than retail and I was all ready to take the paperwork to the
credit union until the sales guy asked about the alarm at the ...
How do i know if my springs are bad?03 Nov 2004 00:12 GMT2
I drive an 85 Toyota 4wd Pickup.  This truck has the stock
leaf-springs on all four wheels, and I think mine might be bad.  How
can i tell? Does anyone know of a good test to tell if the springs are
shot?
Rough startup on 1988 2Bbl Toyt Truck03 Nov 2004 00:06 GMT5
My 1988 Toyota Truck 2WD 2BBL Carburetor has rough starting problem.
If it has been sitting for over 8 hours it blows black soot after
start up out of the exhaust for the first few seconds after I press on
the gas peddle.
97 4Runner transmission problem02 Nov 2004 17:21 GMT2
Every so often when I start my 1997 4Runner in the morning, the engine
will sound really wierd, making crackling sounds like its hitting
something. My parking brake light is on, even though it wasn't on
brake at all.
No heat01 Nov 2004 22:36 GMT9
Odd.  90 4'runner.
About 2 weeks ago I noticed some resistance when I moved the temperature
slide from left to right.
Now the resistance is gone but I don't necessarily have any heat.  I say
New 2005 Tundra owner01 Nov 2004 21:14 GMT3
The wife made me buy a pickup! She got tired of me telling her I could not
do the home improvement projects she wanted because I could not haul home
lumber, etc., in my 1991 Ford Tempo. You may try to use this line yourself!
I have the Access cab, V-6, with the 60/40 seats. The seat ...
