check engine on T10031 Dec 2004 22:46 GMT1
Engine hesitates and surges under load starting roughly at 3000RPM. It feels like it is starving for gas. Check engine light came on after a week or so of this problem. Had the fuel filter replaced and codes read from the ECM. came back with a P1605.. That suggested that the ECM ...

correct spark plugs for V6 4runner31 Dec 2004 03:29 GMT1
I just finished replacing the original plugs in my 2000 4runner. I went on
line and found Autolite platinum plugs. Well, AFTER I get them in, I notice
in the owners manual there's warnings about NOT using the single electrode
plug. I'm suppose to use the two electrode plug. Can ...
Wheel Compatability30 Dec 2004 14:17 GMT4
If memory serves me correctly, Chevy 6-lugs rims used to fit the Toyota
6-lug pattern...  (circa 80-85) Is this still with the later models?
Have a chance to purchase a set of 2003GMC rims and tires (31x10.5x16). If
they are in good/decent condition, hopefully the seller will allow ...

shock absorber questions30 Dec 2004 02:30 GMT1
I need to buy new shock absorbers for my 88 4runner, it has about 2" of lift.
I went to the local auto parts store, and they have Monroe sensa trac shocks
for $40 each, but they are not sure if you need to buy a special size due to
the 2" lift, or if the standard ones will work?
Question for Roger30 Dec 2004 01:30 GMT1
Somewhere I read that you installed a 2" spring set under your
4-runner (Northwest Offroad I think). Anyway there was some problem with
the shackles hitting the frame. Had to be extended 1.50".
Northwest has a  2" spring kit that want to install on my 80 short
Engine block heaters29 Dec 2004 16:33 GMT7
Anyone have experience with engine block heaters, either good or bad?
Specific brands or types which ended up being pieces of crap, or especially
well designed? Interested in comments on either of those extremes.

Tire size29 Dec 2004 04:13 GMT2
Having a hard time finding load rated D or E tires for my 2000 Tundra V8
4x4.  Goodrich has one (load range D) in 265 70 16s for about a ton of
money. There are, however, ample tires (for much less money) in 265 75
16s.  Has anyone had problems with this slightly bigger tire?

Clutch pedal seems to have little to no play (seems right) good pressure
