Changing  Timing Chain 22R12 Dec 2004 19:56 GMT3
I am getting ready to change the timing chain in my '84 Toyota 4x4
Pickup (22R).  I will change the chain, sprockets and guides.
While I have the timing cover off, is there anything else I should change?

Tapping / Clacking 83 Pickup 22R10 Dec 2004 08:43 GMT1
The clacking/tapping noise from the engine I've been told might be a
loose wrist pin has got me wondering.  The tapping (which changes speed
according to RPM) noise seems dampened when I turn sharply, and in 4wd
sometimes the truck seems to shudder when I try to turn and I'm going

my 90 toyota 4runner has to crank for about 30 secs first thing in the
morning before it will start. It will run ruff for a minute or two then it
will smooth out and run fine. For the rest of the day it will start fine
until you let it sit for like 8 hour or more
Vibrating Tacoma09 Dec 2004 18:00 GMT11
I just bought a 2004 Tacoma 4x4 xtra cab, 3.4l 5 speed, brand new. I took
it to the dealer with 200 miles on it.  It has a driveline vibration when
slowing down starting at 25 mph and continuing to 15mph. Ive had it to the

another taco lift question..09 Dec 2004 17:58 GMT3
Ok here goes...what would you actually do to put 33x12.5 under a 2004 taco?
How would you do this and ride be good, and be sturdy suspension. I know
this is a pretty broad question, but how would you do it if you did it
RIGHT?
Block Heater Wanted09 Dec 2004 12:53 GMT9
I'm looking for an engine block heater for my '85 SR5 Pickup.  I think I'd
prefer the freeze plug type but the only ones I have found, so far, are
only 400 watts.
I just installed a Kats 400 watt freeze plug type in my wife's buick but
1996 4Runner fuse/relay problem09 Dec 2004 07:03 GMT1
I tried to replace the automatic antenna on my '96' Toyota 4Runner
SR5.  Hooking up the new antenna I crossed the power wires and it
appears I may have fried a relay that controls the
stereo/locks/clock/dome lights.  I have already checked the fuse it is
Need something to fill gap between cab and shell09 Dec 2004 06:02 GMT7
My 2000 Tundra has a shell on the bed and the seal isn't very
good between the two becaused of the raised cargo/brake
light.  I'd like to fill the top of the gap that's 2"-3" wide between
the back of the cab and the front of the shell.
T100 - wanders and sways side to side09 Dec 2004 02:08 GMT1
my 93 T100 does this.  all is fine with the tire, brakes, shocks, etc..
the driving surface is not it as it does it in all conditions - no
matter what - the same exact thing.  It is really mainly noticable in 4
as that is when the front tires are also driving the thing.  but I do
trouble re-installing coil shock assembly08 Dec 2004 17:34 GMT4
I am having trouble fitting the front coil spring-shock absorber assembly
back on to my truck because the shock is now decompressed. With the coil
attached, the shock can't be compressed by hand. It seems like the shock
needs to be compressed about two inches to fit onto the lower ...
