I have a 98 4runner limited and I am having the exact same hesitation
you are talking about. I can rev the engine from the engine compartment
and there is almost a sec delay before the engine revs. Also there are
times during acceleration the engine runs smooth and then sometimes it

Radio Light Out '97 Tacoma19 Jan 2005 22:47 GMT5
The light that illuminates the LCD screen on the radio is out. Is this an

it? Thanks

Lighter socket not working19 Jan 2005 16:04 GMT1
I had one of those heaters that plug into the lighter socket hooked up, when
it suddenly stopped working. Even the regular cigarette lighter won't work.
So I figured I'd just check the fuse, but the fuse is good. Is there a
second fuse somewhere that I am missing?

First wanted to say thanks for the replies on my brake problem. I have
one more question I have seen discussed before. When I go to slow down
the tranny will sometime clunk between 15-20 mph. Also when sitting at a
light will sometimes feel a slight bump. I have read where some ...

All,
It appears that my 1999 4Runner, which I bought a few months ago, is wired
for keyless entry. This according to my local dealer. But, they tell me that
the price is about $ 150.00 for the remote device and about $ 80.00 for the
'93 Toyota Pick-Up (4 cyl.) problems18 Jan 2005 15:13 GMT7
I have a 1993 standard 4WD Toyota pick up (4 cyl.) and I've been having
problems with it this year.
Back in April of 04, I noticed that after the truck warmed up, the
engine would rev and then slow, when idling, by itself.  I assumed it
04 4runner question (seat is loose)18 Jan 2005 09:16 GMT5
Just got my 04 4runner with 4000 miles on it and I have a question.
The driver's seat (which was solid as a rock) now can be lifted up
under my legs and it wobbles. Is this what I have to look forward to
on my first Toyota? My last car was a Hyundai XG350L with no problems

2000 tundra timing belt17 Jan 2005 03:36 GMT6
Any tips on changing a timing belt on the 4.7 V8.  Also I have 107k miles on
and just wondering if I should change or wait till it breaks.  Will it
damage anything if it does?  Heard it was a big job from previous posts.
PS I have the repair manuals if anybody else needs any info ...
RAV4 buying thru the net, etc.16 Jan 2005 23:57 GMT2
I'm in the Northeast USA (CT), and looking to buy a 2005 RAV4.
I was wondering if anyone in the CT/Mass/Eastern NY area has been able to buy
[either RAV4s in particular, or Toyotas in general] one through any of the
"internet purchasing services", such as "AutoByTel", "cars.com", ...
Bought an '05 Tacoma - long16 Jan 2005 16:31 GMT7
Well, I went and bought a 2005 Tacoma.  I've been wanting one since I read
the first reviews back in April.
I had a 1989 Tacoma that I put 207K miles on, and then sold to a co-worker
almost three years ago.  He is still driving it daily - so I am a believer
RE: Check engine on T100.. ATTN:qslim16 Jan 2005 16:14 GMT2
The mechanic told me this relating to the P1605 code.
"P1605 sets when ECM(PCM) has internal malfunction with knock control system. ECM operates in fail safe mode and retards ign timing to maximum allowed. If no other DTC's are present suspect faulty ECM."
I would appreciate what ...
