| 95 4runner engine swap question | 23 Feb 2005 01:10 GMT | 4 |
The manual says to remove transmission with the engine. It also says to try to leave the xfer case connected to the transmission? I dont think this is possable. I am planning to remove engine alone. will it be hard to get back in?

| T100 detonation | 21 Feb 2005 20:47 GMT | 2 |
I have a 97 t100 with 125k on it. I had the timing belt changed and a full tune up, now it seems to detonate on acceleration. I checked the plugs and they are new NGK's. Since timing and anti-knock is supposed to be ECU controlled, how do you troubleshoot something like this?

95 4Runner, V6, A/T 4x4 While stopped at an ATM, I noticed that my 4Runner was idling rough and had a distinct odor from the exhaust. No noticeable loss of power when I pulled away but, did not start right up after brief stop at a store a few minutes

| Where's The Water Going? | 21 Feb 2005 20:23 GMT | 8 |
My '87 22R is guzzling water. It isn't leaking onto the ground and it doesn't appear to be going into the oil. It will take a quart of water about every 20-25 miles. I'm absolutely NOT a mechanic but my guess is that it has a blown head gasket.

| Alt went out. Now tach and rear anti-lock brake don't work. | 21 Feb 2005 17:25 GMT | 9 |
After 305k miles the alternator died. Well, it still worked, but drained my battery overnight. As I was trying to figure out was zapping my battery, I pulled the 80amp alt fuse as the engine was running. Don't EVER DO THAT. The battery voltage fell, engine slowed down, and the

Recently put a Jasper engine in my 89 pickup. I used Castrol 10W-30. This is the only engine I ever use. I put about 180 miles on my engine and finally got a chance to have it changed. Since I purchased a lifetime alignment from Firestone I had them do an

Anyone know where the relay is for power ant? I'm replacing it with a stick & want to disconnect the relay. It sounds like it's way up in the instrument cluster, almost in the steering column. Thanks from Ontario
