We need more power !!!!11 Feb 2005 05:21 GMT3
Can anyone give any suggestions for my 94 ext 4x4  4-cyl.   It is a DOG - no
power.  It has 140,000 on it and I just has the timing chain redone- I wish
I would have put that money into a new engine.   I had a 91 with a v-6  and
266,000 and it ran circles around this thing.
Free cat11 Feb 2005 05:16 GMT12
Hello all, my lovely little cat decided he would try to hop up on the hood
of my BRAND NEW 2005 Tundra!!! Arghh! So, now I have a nice scratch on my
front bumper. Do any of you wise folk have a remedy for this situation,
short of swimming lessons for the cat? The scratch did not ...
Transmission Speed Sensor11 Feb 2005 03:30 GMT3
Ultimately, I found out that my transmission speed sensor is faulty.
Will a faulty transmission speed sensor cause the transmission to slip
which seems to happen in my case?  Or the slipping is another issue?
Thanks,
2003 Tacoma 4 cyl Fuel Filter Location?10 Feb 2005 04:29 GMT4
Mine is the SR5 Extended Cab 2WD manual transmission.  I give
up.....where have they hidden the fuel filter and why the Hell doesn't
the owner's manual say ANYTHING about it?
High cold idle speed10 Feb 2005 04:21 GMT1
I have 140 miles on my new 22RE engine (1989).
I still have two (possibly related) idle issues.  I did not experience these
issues on my old engine.
Cold idle speed ranges between 2,200 and 2500 rpm.  Can this be adjusted
'85 4x4 Toyota Pickup Pulls to the Left When Braking?09 Feb 2005 05:52 GMT1
I have an '85 Toyota 4x4 truck with a 22r engine and a 5 speed trans.
Recently its been pulling to the left when i brake.  I had a problem
with the wheel bearing and inner axle seal on the left side and i fixed
that hoping it would somehow solve my braking problem. It didn't and
Tranny problem???09 Feb 2005 02:48 GMT1
My '87 Toy 4x4 pickup, auto trans, is making a odd "clinking" sound whenever
I come to a stop, usually right around 15-20mph. It sounds like it's coming
from the front axle near the driver-side but I don't have the lockouts
engaged or the truck in 4x4. Also, it doesn't do it ...
1999 4runner hesitation08 Feb 2005 17:35 GMT4
I have had a problem with hesistation when the accelerator is first
depressed, in my 4 runner for several weeks.  While trying to diagnose the
problem, I would open the throttle body by hand in the engine compartment.
It takes about a second after turning the throttle body for the ...
Tundra brakes08 Feb 2005 04:11 GMT7
I have an '02 Tundra, V8 2WD.
According to 3 dealers my VIN does not indicate any TSBs.
I have had recurring brake pulsation issues.
I had the front brakes done today, and the pads are about 4-3/4" long. Per
Minor Shift Problem07 Feb 2005 21:53 GMT4
My '85 SR5 w/5 speed (169,992 mi) shifts perfectly when it's cold.  After
it warms up it grinds when shifting into first or reverse at a dead stop.
I changed the gear oil from whatever was in there to Redline MT-90 but it
didn't help.
Line-X or Rhino Linings?07 Feb 2005 04:21 GMT6
I just got my 2005 Tundra tonight (yea!) and am trying to decide whether
to do a Line-X or a Rhino Lining in the bed.  Does anyone have any
recommendations on which might be better?  As far as I can tell, they're
about the same, but I don't know much about either.
wheel options for '86 pickup06 Feb 2005 03:20 GMT2
Shopping for alternatives to the stock steel wheels.  I understand that
the lug pattern is 5 X 4.5", but to what extent does offset need to be
preserved?  I think the factory wheel has low to zero offset.
Some wheels that may work well:
Tundra engine in a T-10006 Feb 2005 03:06 GMT1
I have a 96 t-100 SR5 4WD with 6 cylinder engine. Its a manual
transmission.  I was wondering if a Tundra V8 engine and transmission
can be installed in a T-100.
4x4 Toyota pickup V6 ---> 22R swap05 Feb 2005 22:48 GMT2
My brother bought a '93 4x4 'yota pickup with a cooked V6.
The motor would not be nearly so bad, but the guy half-way disassembled the
thing and left it to rust when he lost interest in the project.  I have
plenty of good 22R motors laying around and would like to know if it's
2001 Sequoia JBL 6-disc CD Problem05 Feb 2005 15:32 GMT2
The CD player is unable to eject or accept a CD.  After ignition, it makes
noises as though it is trying to eject but cannot.  Pushing eject button
makes the same noises but nothing comes out.  Cannot add a new CD either.
Cannot change a CD channel.  I read earlier that I should ...
