My niece is having a problem with her truck. She lives in Maui so I'm
trying to help by remote control. I sent her the replacement parts she

We just bought a 1999 Tacoma Extra Cab with driver and passenger airbags

looked at so far only give information on how the system works. With a
Minor thumping sound when stopping24 Mar 2005 23:40 GMT13
I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 auto trans.  Everytime I come to
a complete stop it makes a low thumping sound of sorts.  I don't suspect it
is a defect.  I think it is normal.  It sounds as if something is
disengaging.
Transient high temperature24 Mar 2005 20:48 GMT2
I finally put my 1986 carburated Toyota PU back together after
replacing the timing chain guides, and, yes, I did spring for the
steel-backed ones.  I notice however that after the engine warms up
that the needle on my temperature gauge creeps up almost to the upper
Need help w/ idle issues24 Mar 2005 15:14 GMT2
1989 Toy Pickup 4x4
I have two issues that are probably related.  First, the cold idle runs at
about 2K.  Second, once it warms up AND has been driven a few miles, the
idle runs at about 900, creeps up to about 1300, sputters and drops to 900
How to Disassemble 98 Taco Side Mirror?24 Mar 2005 08:12 GMT2
I'd like to disassemble both mirrors for painting.  I noticed a couple of
torx screws on the bottom but these seem to be only partially securing the
mirror.  There's another hole that I'm wondering if it's for access to a
catch of some sort.  Anybody know about this?
Need Stiffer Front Coil Springs24 Mar 2005 08:07 GMT3
I put some wider wheels and tires on my standard 2WD 98 Taco.  Overall
height is still the same.  My front tires will hit the underside of my
fenders on big dips.  Anyone know where I can get stiffer springs to
eliminate this?  I really don't want to lift the truck...just limit the

I have a new 2004 4Runner. The owners manual nor the service manual that
