Maintenance schedule says tighten the Propeller shaft bolts, but does not

the backing plate? What is the tightening torque?
Thanks,

Improving MPG18 Mar 2005 01:57 GMT6
I have a 2002 Tacoma DoubleCab with an Auto tranny.  I used
to be able to go about 320 miles on a tank of gas.  Now I
can only get about 270.  Any ideas on how to remedy this
problem?  Most of the miles I drive are on the highway, so

I am working with my 1987 Toyota Landcruiser 6cyl Diesel.
The glow plug system comes on only for a moment even when the engine is

help me trace the source of the problem.  Thanks

Squeek. The noise is only when I put pressure on the ...

2000 Tundra v8 pinging16 Mar 2005 19:18 GMT2
Can you think of any reason why my truck would ping unless the knock sensor
is shot?  I took it to the dealer and all they did was tune it up and tell
me they couldn't hear the pinging.  I've even tried 92 octane but that
didn't help.

Towing with a Land Cruiser16 Mar 2005 03:00 GMT1
I just bought a '95 Land Cruiser with the 4.5L I6 engine.   When you see one
of these things out driving, it usually has a hitch installed, but you
rarely see anyone towing anything with one!  Anyone here use one to tow a
boat or trailer?  How did it do?  My guess after driving my ...
Toyota Tabloata15 Mar 2005 21:24 GMT32
I think the 2005 Tacomas are unnecessarily large, homelier than the
previous models and a sad example of materialistic bloat. The formerly
thrifty Japanese have become too enamored of our wasteful trends.
