1985 Toyota 2.4L diesel destruction video08 Apr 2005 17:31 GMT6
This is a great video from Top Gear featuring a 1985 Toyota 2L Hilux
diesel that is put through some astonishing torture tests in an
attempt to "break it".

3.4 V-6 timing belt interval08 Apr 2005 05:39 GMT4
OK, some sources say 90k miles, others say 60k miles. My '97 Taco 3.4 had
it's first belt at 70k, and is now at 120k. Should I wait till 160k before
replacing or do it at 130k?. Cast your vote now.

Cap recommendations for '99 Tacoma (fiberglass, aluminum, etc.)07 Apr 2005 13:13 GMT1
I'm looking to buy a cap for my 1999 Tacoma (2WD, Std Cab).  It's hard
to find information on the web with which to compare the various caps.
Can anybody recommend (or caution against) specific brands?
In my area (Madison, WI), it seems like I can get an A.R.E. or a Century
E85 conversion kits?07 Apr 2005 02:45 GMT2
Looking to convert all the rubber parts in my 2003 4Runner to the e85
compatible fuel parts (like stainless steel tubes, etc). E85 fuel by my
house is $1.79 a gallon vs the 2.25 a gallon for the other stuff. With
Goldman talking about $100 a barrel fuel prices, we might see 4-5 ...
How difficult is it to remove ECU and all circuits? '86 Carbed truck.06 Apr 2005 16:58 GMT2
I posted earlier about the ECU on my nieces '86 PU. She lives on Maui
and they don't have smog inspections there anyway so what is necesary
to remove the controls and be able to use the thing with a straight
carb? I assume the distributor is comp controlled but I don't know for
Tundra bulb question06 Apr 2005 14:21 GMT4
I was looking through my owner's manual to see what bulb my front park
lights/turn signals take, and it says "3157NA."  Is this the same bulb
as the regular 3157 bulb that goes into the rear brake/park lights?

91 Previa, how much for a head gasket job06 Apr 2005 01:02 GMT4
My car has near 127,000 miles now.
How much is reasonable for a head gasket job?
It burns 1 quart of motor oil every 2000 miles.
It is smelly when closing down the garage door.
Love/Hate New Tundra05 Apr 2005 22:40 GMT7
What I love about my new 2005 Double cab 4x2 Tundra:
Pretty much everything -- the ride, the bed, the handling, nice autoumatic
airbag disabling for the passenger, limited slip rear end is ok . . .did
fair in the snow
84 Toyota Exhaust Question - 2wd pickup05 Apr 2005 17:25 GMT1
Thanks, first for taking a second to answer my post.
I have an 84 2wd pickup, and I recently saw the same model with some sort of
tuned exhaust on it. I am wondering what options I have as custom exhaust on
my truck, and what kind of difference in the truck's performance those

grill guard or lightbar?05 Apr 2005 14:35 GMT1
Wanting grill guard or lightbar for my  tacoma. It's for looks only. I
don't do any offroading. Really prefer a grill guard because they look
better.
How much does the average grill guard weigh? Will it make my front sag?
2005 Tundra oil change access05 Apr 2005 10:33 GMT13
Just got my new tundra, and was looking where and how to change oil when
its time. Below the oil filter there is a cover. Does it need to come off
or part way to let the oil drain out?
And where do you check the trans. fluid level?

turn on my headlights, does anyone know what might be causing this
problem and how I can go about fixing it?  Thanks
Jake
