At what mileage should the timing belt be replaced in a 4Runner 2000? Mine has 77,000 miles. The dealer says it should be changed. Any opinions, and/or experiences?

Does anyone know what I can do to improve the fuel economy of my 82 landcruiser? I have rebuilt the carb twice and that gave me about 5 to 6 miles per gallon. This is a used vehicle for me so I don't really know what I should get for economy. Any ideas or hints greatfully ...

I'm now on my 3rd set of halogen headlight bulbs for a 1984 Toyota truck. It still uses the conventional H4 wiring. However, after about a month of driving, the high beam filaments break (verified by measuring continuity on the bulb). The low beams are just fine.
