A friend bought a nice 2002 Tundra TRD 4x2 V8 (easy access cab) on
eBay with 90k miles. Very clean truck, service records, and all
that.
In crawling around the truck, I noticed some things.
differential filler plug on 94 toyota short box pickup, socket size ?16 Sep 2005 01:07 GMT4
its a 22re engine on short box, darn filler plug is seized , took a 4 foot
bar last time to open. got a cheap stamp bolt head, tried 24 mm, 15/16,
there close but stripping. 23 mm I have a feeling. dont have one, dont know
if they exist.

I just recently had the lower ball joints replaced on my 03 Taco xtra cab
4x4 SR5 as per a recall by Toyota Canada.

4x4 disadvantages
Are there any reliability or mileage disadvantages with 4x4 vs 4x2.  I
will use this mainly as a highway hauler in S WI and N IL, IN.

I just spoke with Toyota via the 800 # (800-331-4331)
and they stated that Toyota "WILL PAY FOR PARTS AND LABOR" for this recall.
Call them is see in your VIN is affected, as it doesn't affect all trucks
during these years specified.

I am planning to open the front door covers of my 2004 4Runner to replace
the speakers.  I'm not sure if  I will just pry-off the covers.  I see only
one retaining screw.  I want to be sure that I do not break anything when I

I just bought a used 87 extracab longbed pickup with the 22R engine and
auto transmission.  No owner's manual with this and I couldn't find one
on eBay or a couple local used bookstores.  It also looks like toyota

i went to the stealership today... they had no clue about the recall...
they made me call a number... i gave them my VIN and they said it only
afects certain 89-95's.... how messed up is that... thats 6 years worth
of models and theyre picking and choosing which ones are getting

I  replaced the voltage regulator on my 1979 4wd after experincing the
charge light come on and the battery dead. The old regulator was the
large point type (black box)but the one the parts place sold me is
smaller and looks like an electronic version. The battery still is not

I purchased a 1991 4runner and disconnected the battery today.
When I reconnected it the alarm comes on and I don't know how to turn
it off.
