Planning on buying an 05 Tacoma 4x4 in the next two weeks.  Will replace a
99 F150.  Will be used on road but need the 4x4 for winter because of my
rural, unplowed subdivision.   Suggestions on model, i.e. base, prerunner,
etc.  Comments on options or anything appreciated.

My 2005 tacoma is rated at 245 hp.
I just saw a 2006 tacoma commercial on tv  @236 horse power.
Anyone know why the drop for the 2006's?

My friend has a private mechanic that works on his race car...  he gave
me the idea to drop a V8 in my truck, took a look under my hood and

like to get 265/75/16 BFG AT's but I am concerned about rubbing with the
extra 5% tallness and the extra meatiness of the tread on the BFG's compared

Has anyone had a autoparts store seat cover that fit the Tundra bucket
seats? I've tried a couple of universal ones that didn't even begin to fit
my Tundra.

My existing temp sensor(for the gauge, not the FI)
is intermittent so I bought a new one from the dealer.
Their parts guy said no gasket is needed, and none
shown on his computer, just install it bare.  A call to

i got a toyota pickup, with the 22re...  when i first got it, it had
some balls, i mean i could scratch/chirp in second gear... but now, it

I never wanted flares on my truck but the amount of rocks getting

thanks for the quick response.
You didn't mention anything about detataching anything else from the engine to take the  cover off. Haynes manual does not focus on the cover gasket as a problem, so  I'm not sure how long it might take, but I'll figure it out when I work on the car ...
