towing kit?
WIll try to find one at a dealer - have seen some optional tranny

I have a 1994 4Runner 4x4 with a 5spd manual trans and the 3vze V6

Tacoma hot start problem FIX!14 Oct 2005 22:46 GMT6
There appears to be a common hot start problem with Toyota Tacoma trucks.
I posted a message to this newsgroup almost a month ago and got several
individuals to respond they had the same problem or to offer suggestions.
A bright fellow who goes by samwise (and I believe it) ...

Does any have or know where I can find the toyota shop manual for the
1989 4runner?  I'm pretty handy and I'm finding that the hayes manual
that I have has some dead spots in it.
1995 T100 Tune-Up14 Oct 2005 08:37 GMT3
I’ve got a 1995 T100 V6 3.4 liter with just over 148,000 miles on it.
The only tune-up was done about 100,000 miles ago.  On another forum
site it was mentioned that the "coil over plug" has to be torqued to
a specific poundage.   My Haynes guide does not mention this
15k mile prop-shaft lube overkill?14 Oct 2005 06:05 GMT9
I have a 96 Tacoma 4WD 5-speed and the manual says to lube the
propeller shaft every 15k miles. Whenever I lube the zerks, grease is
displaced and squirts out the seals (that's normal, I understand).
Lubing one particular fitting on the rear section makes the sleeve

98 Tacoma - PCV valve?13 Oct 2005 16:43 GMT1
I recently bought a '98 Tacoma with the inline-4 motor and about 58k miles.
I like to do as much of the simple maintenance as I can handle, but I cannot
find any info in the owner's manual regarding the PCV valve. My other
vehicle recommends changing at 60K. I'd appreciate any ...

2005 Tacoma 4x4 propeller shaft zerk size?13 Oct 2005 12:29 GMT3
Anybody know?  I'd like to do my first greasin' this weekend, and the
factory plugs it.
For those of you that are about to write that it's "factory sealed",
this task is part of Toyota's recommended lube service for salty, dusty,
Brakes12 Oct 2005 20:11 GMT2
I also have a 1988 toyota pickup 4 cylinder 4x4.
And it sounds like I am having the same problem.
I can pump it up and the brake holds but as soon as I release the peddle to the top the next pump goes to the floor.
I have bleed All five bleeders in the proper sequence.
Hauling with mid-size truck12 Oct 2005 18:24 GMT2
Who makes a good spring helper or air bag for the mid-sized, four cylinder,
manual truck and how much weight could you hall with it without damage to
the suspension?
Highlander tires replacement?12 Oct 2005 02:48 GMT1
I will have to change my tires soon on my 2002 Highlander 2WD with a V6.
I currently have the OEM Goodyear Integrity P225/70R16 tires.  I have
50,000 miles on them and are showing wear.
Does anybody have a better (highway) tire recommendation?
