Highlander tires30 Nov 2005 21:50 GMT6
I am replacing the original Goodyear tires and am looking for
recommendations.  Having had two Camrys before this, I was very
disappointed in handling during even light to moderate snow.  Our
driveway is a bit steep and with just a half-inch of snow, the
'03 tacoma power steering pump problems30 Nov 2005 07:08 GMT5
I recently cot my totally stock '03 tacoma serviced with a little less
than 42k miles on it and they said the power steering pump was leaking
and needed to be replaced.  This will be the third one!! I read some
topics about an '01 having the same issue a few years back.  Clearly
1996 Hiace Super Custom 30 Nov 2005 07:00 GMT2
Can anyone give me some data on the above. I've just bought it. It has a 3
litre Turbo diesel with an automatic gear box. Can't get my hands on a
manual. The drivers handbook just covers the interior and cab instruments.
How many mpg can I expect -
loose rad fan29 Nov 2005 06:12 GMT4
Is there an easy way to fix this.  It looks hard to get at.  I'm pretty sure
anyways that my rad fan is loose as it's been making a lot of noise,
wobbling, and continuing to spin after the truck is stopped.

Intermittent no-start problems on 1990 P/U28 Nov 2005 22:07 GMT1
This is most often caused by loose or corroded battery treminal
connections. If these are ok, it is usually the ignition wire going
from the ignition harness(behind the ignition switch) to the start
terminal on the starter(the little wire, not the big one coming from

I am considering purchasing a Tacoma and wonder if  locking rear
differential can be bought as an option or found on any trucks that do not
have the TRD package?  This being a common feature on Ford and Chevy trucks

95 4Runner CD player27 Nov 2005 20:36 GMT2
Has anyone had any luck keeping their CD player working? The player in my
'95 4Runner is flat refusing to play CD's. Is there any adjustment or
cleaning that can be done to get it working? I'm not above tearing it apart.
Thermostat Orientation on 20R engine27 Nov 2005 00:45 GMT2
Does anybody know the correct orientation for a thermostat on a 20R engine?
In other words does the spring end of the thermostat go towards the
cylinderhead/engine block (down) or towards the radiator (up)?
Thanks for any help.

Any one get the letter which was supposed to be out in mid-sep on the steering rod (connector piece?)   I'm original owner and haven't moved -- yet to receive the recall notice.
Toyota CD Player26 Nov 2005 21:14 GMT1
Or I should say, Toyota CD player will not play cd's. I have a '95 4Runner
with the double tall cd/cassette/stereo. It has all but stopped playing
cd's. They will load and spin but, only play when it feels like. Anyone know
of a cure? The Sony PS2 used to have the same problem ...
1991 Truck Motor, 22R-E, must go24 Nov 2005 04:19 GMT4
I have a 22R-E I put into an '85 Celica GTS this spring. Shortly after,
the exhaust broke, the fuel system leaked, the spring dropped on the tire,
and the frame rotted! Of course, all this couldn't happen BEFORE the swap.
So, 22R-E, fits 1985 to 1997. 160,000 miles chain replaced at ...
Looking for Buick Experts24 Nov 2005 02:08 GMT5
I have a 1986 Yota 4x4 on a 1980 yota chassis, strait axles of course.  It's
lifted pretty good and has 35's on it.  Needless to say, I did a Buick 231
swap.  Luckily I had two motors, cause I ended up throwing a rod on the
first one...  I am having a wicked problem keeping it cool. ...

problems for awhile, however it never starts in ...
