Tacoma and driving thru water22 Dec 2005 10:56 GMT25
I'm considering buying a 2006 Tacoma reg or access cab to help us
drive thru the normal road flooding that occurs in Houston, Texas when
it rains without stalling.  I don't know the height of the flooding
but I'm guessing 8 inches or so???

Not from me! My local toy dealer quoted me that for replacing my rad on a 98
3.4 tacoma, but then they also charge $180 for a battery. I have 135k on it
so figured I'de better do the timing belt and water pump as well......over
$1500. from them, $1300 from another local dealer. But ...

Has anyone ever heard of a crate engine for the SR5 PU auto 4x4?
A replacement with more ooomf and better mileage?
This original motor is still going strong at 158k miles, but the V6 gets
crappy mileage (13.5 mph) and is gutless. I love this truck, but it's

the powder, and wouldn't be without it!  Also, I always have to fill up

Erratic 1990 Speedo21 Dec 2005 10:25 GMT3
My 90 2wd 22re is acting up. When my speedometer hits 45 mph, it
instantly jumps to 60mph and wiggles back and forth. Once my speed
exceeds 60 mph, the speedo needle stabilizes and functions normally.
The needle shows a shaky 60 mph for all speeds between 45 & 60 but
Changing the fuel filter21 Dec 2005 06:39 GMT18
What involved in changing the fuel filter on a Tacoma 2002/4cylinder? You
can not see the rear fuel line(from the fuel tank) connection since it is
under the intake manifold. Does removing the starter motor help make the job
easier??

New Truck19 Dec 2005 00:02 GMT1

Was just wondering if there any sites or links where I might find out some
information on the new Toyota truck which will replace the Tundra.  I've
done a google, but had no luck.  Any help is appreciated.
Turning off the "maint req" light18 Dec 2005 17:11 GMT13
I was a bit dismayed when, at 5000 miles, a "maintenace required" light
