Ok, so I went to change out my front brakes today, boy did they need
them! I took the front passanger wheel off, got the caliper off etc,
got to the part where you use the clamp to push the cylinders back in,
got the outside two pushed in easily, however the inside to act frozen

I just got a message back from Toyota Canada saying there are three
outstanding recalls on my 91 V6 4x4 pickup.  The daytime running lights, the
head gasket and the steering rod relay.  I have just a couple questions for
the group;

The little green light for D burn't out.  Any idea how difficult to reach

1991 Rear End Problems12 Dec 2005 02:49 GMT1
I just has a local mechanic to rebuild the rearend on my 1991 Toyota 4wd ext
cab pickup. Now the rear end is making a popping noise each time the rear
tires rotate. I've checked lug nuts and they are tight.
Love the truck but this rearend problem is getting expensive and I'm not
4Runner rear quarter panel rust11 Dec 2005 16:04 GMT4
Well, the old 4Runner (1st gen) is developing some severe rust problems
in the rear wheel well area.  The metal has separated allowing water in
to do damage.  Is this worth repairing?  Is it possible to do a wheel
well transplant with used parts (are these even available on the east

I'm looking at purchasing a new clutch and was hoping to get some feedback
on what people here prefer. I was going to go with the Centerforce I, but
came across some reviews that weren't too keen on it. But I have yet to hear
anything about the TRD clutch. I'm looking at buying ...

Everytime I do a search for recall for my 90 4runner (V6) I get ( No recalls

least one pertaining to the steering link, but are there anymore that I need
Wind noise in 2005 Tacoma10 Dec 2005 18:06 GMT5
I am getting a Very Loud whistling/moaning sound in my 2005 Tacoma.  It only
happens when the air speed is 85 mph or more - but that means at 65 mph into
a 20 mph head wind, which is all too common in Oklahoma.  (Or 75 into a 10
mph head wind in New Mexico or Arizona where 75 is ...
Tundra 04 TRD 4x4 OK?09 Dec 2005 18:18 GMT1
That darn valve train tick is more than annoying it is embarrassing
You are at a light sitting beside a 20k Dodge or 30k Ford and your
40k Tundra sounds like it runs on deisel fuel. My next truck will

Seat Compromise '91 ext cab 4X4 08 Dec 2005 22:11 GMT2
Seats on my PU are uncomfortable. With 200k on it, the driver's seat has
lost the cushion support. Looking at all options to repair or replace.
Would like to stay close to stock and definitely don't want a cobbled
solution.

advice on buying a toyota truck07 Dec 2005 03:11 GMT4
I'm looking at a 1987 4x4 Xcab Toyota, 290,000kms, needs a head gasket
and some exhaust work. Buddy will let it go for $1000. The body's in
good shape, a little rust in the wheel wells but overall damn good for
the age and where I am (lots of salt in the winters). My question is,
Gas cap cover won't open07 Dec 2005 02:54 GMT1
The (locking) gas tank door on my 98 Tacoma Xtra cab 2wd will not open.  The
key works fine in both passenger doors and the ignition.  It fits in the gas
tank door lock fine and turns to the left, so I do not think the key is the
problem.  Could it be something wrong with the ...
