Over the many years of having my old changed, I noticed they stopped taking
the lower front shield off the bottom of the truck to get at the oil filter.
I didn't think much of it until I went to change the filter myself. It turns
out either the bolts are missing, cross threaded ...

I have a 98 Tacoma 4x4 with 32s and 150,000 miles. I noticed the steering

underneath at the rack while turning the wheel and see the rack moving up

Clutch pedal squeeks.26 Feb 2006 22:00 GMT5
Took my '90 4Runner for recall (steering relay rod).  When I got it back I
noticed the clutch pedal squeeks about 2"-3" from the  bottom.  I can feel
friction at that point.  I greased every joint and the two clutch related
switches under the dash.

I have a 05 DC with 19k miles and ever since the truck has had around 8k
miles the rear brakes emit a loud moaning sound when you go to stop and
get down to about 4 mph or slower. Two dealers have checked and cleaned
the dust off and one replaced rear drums and they still do it ...
Toyota Maintain26 Feb 2006 08:35 GMT3
I have a 97 Tacoma w/ 101,000 miles.  I would like to make sure it's in
good running condition but I don't want to spend $500 for a check up.
Are there certain things that need to be checked out that are
absolutely necessary?   I have changed the oil every 3,000 miles since

Fusible link failure Toyota Hilux 199025 Feb 2006 20:35 GMT3
I have a 1990 Hilux diesel truck and recently the alternator started
intermittently failing, probably the brushes.  The garage recommended
replacing it but had problems installing it as it had an internal
voltage regulator whereas the old one had an external.  Consequently

My son recently had his 89 v-6 engine overhauled(Late Dec. 2005) and

filler cap.  He is having to replace radiator fluid about every other
day. No other leakage noticed.  Took it back to shop and they said

My hubby and I have been looking into purchasing a 2003 Sequoia SR5.

Truck in great shape, just now reaching 100K but recent 'check engine'
