| Tundra VSC: Seek out or Avoid | 17 Feb 2006 03:12 GMT | 4 |
I'm looking to buy a new Tundra (4x4 Double Cab) and I'm trying to decide if it's worth the trouble and expense to buy one with the VSC system (the price of the VSC itself is reasonable, but I can't find one that isn't loaded up with a bunch of stuff I don't need.)

I bought a 90 P/U with a 22RE and a 4 sp manual trans. I noticed that the fuel filter is zip tied below the intake manifold, just hanging there. I can't find any bracket which it will bolt to and the shop manual says nothing about it. Does anyone know where it is supposed to

| brake rotors | 15 Feb 2006 21:24 GMT | 7 |
I have some experience turning the wrench, enough to know not to tear it apart if I need special tools or more than two hands, and I have had the rig since it was new in 87, it still has the original rotors after 275K miles and I want to do replace them myself if possible.

| 4Runner Rear Brake Question | 15 Feb 2006 18:09 GMT | 5 |
Today I inspected my rear brakes on my 1996 4Runner. There appeared to be an oily sludge on the inside of the drum and on the pads. This was the same on both right and left rear drum brakes. Does this sound like there is something wrong?

| 1988 Truck - 22R and Cold Starts (?) | 13 Feb 2006 23:44 GMT | 1 |
When my 1988 Toyota truck (22R) is running, it runs quite nicely. But when first starting on a 40 degree F (or colder) morning, it's getting quite cantankerous. Sometimes it will even die after a few rev's, and have to be asked

Just bought new 2005 Tundra and am looking for a soft tonneau. The new Tundras seem to come with rail caps. This seems to be an issue with some of the more popular covers. Anyone with experience or suggestions here? I tried (returned) the Access brand cover but it didn't seem to ...

What other speakers will fit in the stock housings? Mine are dead and I'd guess that Toyota probably wants an arm and a leg for new ones. Thanks,
