I recently purchased my 94 4wd toyota pickup.  I have a dumb question.
Does the AC control panel light up?  If so gues I have another project
to play with.

Has anyone had any experience with the import process from Canadian
importers.  It is very attractive sounding to buy a diesel from canada
versus a conversion.  It also seems less costly.
Also, what's up with the 14 year rule?  All the cars imported must be

The owner's manual for my 2000 Taco 4WD V6 suggests NOT using equalizer hitches for towing.  Anyone know why you can't do that?  I'd like to pull a 3,000 lb. trailer, but it has a tongue weight of 394 pounds.  The Taco max tongue weight is 350, so I'd like to use an equalizer ...

I had to replace the battery in my 2000 Tundra today - the original
battery that lasted over 6 years.  That's got to be some kind of
record, at least for me.

I recently installed a new/rebuilt long block into my 1994 Toyota 4x4
pickup.  During the install I encountered a problem where I was getting
a large amount of water in the oil pan.  The problem was an alignment
pin on the timing cover...I had two in one hole.  I repaired the leak

When I bought my vehicle the seller had accidently pushed the clock to the
inside of the dash panel when he was cleaning it up for sale. I am unable to
get the clock back through the opening.

I am just doing a basic break job on a 98 Tacoma, 4X4 and the stupid pins
won't come out.. I have to saw then in half and then bang then out
backwards.  This certainly isn't my first break job, but is on this truck.
Normally I just remove the spring clip and tap out the pins. ...

Anyone  have a spare ash tray laying around. Mine has been missing since I
bought the truck. It does leave a nice extra place for glasses and cigs:>).

My lighter doent work. I opened up the wiring and there were no wire
conneted to it. The wire cluster which feeds the lighter has only one
loose wire which is red. I assume it is the 12V hot wire. What do I do
for the other tab on the lighter which is probably a ground but has no

Can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is located on a 1990 2wd standard
pick-up, 22R manual? Darn if I can find it.

I am not 100% sure if it is my imagination or it is true.
Every time after change oil, I had about 2K to 2.5K of enjoyment and then I
started feeling the engine is louder and not as silky.
I heard that Mobile 1 synthetic can last easily 5K for oil change interval

Thinking about doing some upgrade to it and wondering what type of Toyota
manual to get in order to know all the wiring info.

Has anyone on this group installed one? Does it fit where the spare tire
normally goes? How about the plumbing, do you just pump it into the main
tank?
