Thinking of purchasing 4-cylinder 1997 4runner....?? How reliable is
the 4-cyl engine...?? From my understanding it is a 16-valve version of

Now I know some people have said the 4 cylinder is a bit underpowered.
Getting check engine codes20 Mar 2006 01:50 GMT1
Is there a way to retrieve check engine codes other than a scanner tool
for a 05 4Runner? I know on my 03 Jeep I turn the ignition switch on and
off 3 times and the odometer will show the codes and then the word
"done" when it is finished.  Any similar ways to do this on the ...
Reprogramming of keyless entry remote19 Mar 2006 21:44 GMT1
I just bought a new 2006 Rav4. The manual states the the keyless entry
remote (which is built into the key) can be reprogrammed to unlock ALL
doors with one press of the button instead of having to press it twice
like you do now. Does anyone know how to do this so I don't have to

I will be getting a new 06 Taco in the next few weeks and am debating buying

some things in the small compartments beneath the rear seats, but not very

The truck will run fine for hours, then while driving at any speed it
will cut out as if the coil wire were arcing, then back to running fine.
It's not dependent on RPM, speed, or throttle position although it

Seatbelt Switch18 Mar 2006 20:31 GMT3

Where does this wire terminate and how difficult will it be to replace the
assembly?

I have a 2005 Tacoma with a camper shell on the back. I'd like to
increase the size of the opening of the sliding rear window. The basic
idea is pull over at a rest stop or campsite while rain is dumping
down, and be able to crawl in back to the comfy platform bed I've

Do Not Buy Bilstein Shocks From Techdeals1 on Ebay!17 Mar 2006 17:36 GMT1
At least if you don't want the lifetime warranty.  This guy sells tons
of Bilsteins on Ebay, then won't honor the warranty, and won't answer
emails.  Bilstein won't warranty shocks purchased off Ebay, and this
guy doesn't honor their warranty either.  Watch out for him.
