| Oil and filter for Tundra | 15 Mar 2006 16:06 GMT | 9 |
Currently I'm at 600 miles on my V8 Tundra and must think about which oil to buy. I have used Casterol in all my vehicles, but this oil is supposed to be for small engines. Which (non synthetic) engine oil brands are supposed to be the best? Is Valvoline better than average?

I'm considering changing the brake pads on my 02 Tacoma. Never done this before. I'll be buying the Toyota service manual first. I've got loads of tools (ratchets, etc), but I'm wondering if there are any oddball tools required. This expense, if any, will figure into whether I ...

| Anti-freeze in oil | 15 Mar 2006 05:53 GMT | 6 |
My son bought a 1988 toy truck with anti-freeze in the oil. The head gasket is a given. I have been told that the head bolt require a special silicone to seal them, and if they do not have it they will let the water into the oil. The engine has a fresh re-build and the spark plugs ...

| gas mileage of 4cyl vs V6 | 14 Mar 2006 08:52 GMT | 14 |
Coming from a Honda Civic and not making very much money, I've been mainly keeping an eye out for 4 cylinder Toyota trucks, assuming the V6 would gulp way too much gas. Is there much difference between the economy of the 4cyl versus the V6?
