Help replacing a bed on 88 4x410 Mar 2006 19:25 GMT3
My son just emptied his bank account on a 1988 4x4 Standard Cab. He then
forgot to put the emergency brake on while in the driveway, and his "new"
truck found the big rock at the bottom of our driveway. Needless to say, the
smittybuilt bumper and the bed are wasted. Everything ...
Bilstein Warranty - Ebay10 Mar 2006 07:38 GMT2
I put a new set of 4 Bilsteins on my 98 Tacoma that I bought from eBay,
and now one is leaking (30k miles).  Bilstein told me they don't
warranty any shocks purchased from ebay!  AND, the guy I bought them
from (Tecdeals1 or something similar) has gone incommunicado.  Stopped

No oil warning light on Tundra?!09 Mar 2006 16:19 GMT34
Not sure why I just recently noticed this (maybe because I just changed
the oil for the first time not long ago) but I think it sucks.
My truck (2005 V8 std cab Tundra) has the panel with the tach, oil
pressure, voltage etc. The manual is vague about a low oil pressure
Can anyone tell the difference between rotors and pads (truthfully)?09 Mar 2006 08:57 GMT53
I found out from another thread that brake rotors can't warp and it seems
nobody on this planet can really (reliably) tell the difference between
brake friction materials (because there are no standards whatsoever)

T100 fuel pump relay and interia switch09 Mar 2006 04:19 GMT3
Anyone could tell me where to find Fuel pump relay and fuel pump inertia
switch on my 95 T100.  The engine kills when I accelerate hard.  By the way
576000 original miles.
Thanks
1992 Toyota pickup08 Mar 2006 15:24 GMT2
I have a 1992 Toyota pickup-silver, (22RE Engine) manual.  I am looking
to get rid of it, does anyone have any ideas?  The body is in good
condition.  It have a blown head gasket.  Anyone with any good idea,

Can anyone check whether brake pistons move freely?08 Mar 2006 13:14 GMT17
How does a DIY check that brake caliper & pistons move freely.
In a related thread on how to diagnose high speed braking induced wheel
shimmy in a 98 Toyota 4Runner and in a variety of brake shimmy articles it
was suggested I check that the 4 pistons move freely in each caliper.
89 toy pickup08 Mar 2006 01:52 GMT2
i have a 89 toy pickup that runs at a high idle it starts to warm up and
whan you push on the brake it starts to miss and the idle comes down low.
i checked for vaccum leaks and found none. i then went and pushed on the
pedel and held in the brake light switch and the idle would not ...
Noisey Speedometer/Speedometer Cable '89 2WD Manual Trans08 Mar 2006 01:36 GMT8
Ready to turn 190K; in colder weather lots of squealing and minor
speedometer pointer jitter. Sound goes away after a few miles. Noise doesn't
seem to be related to clutch throw-out bearing, moreso to speed of the
vehicle.
Wheel pellets06 Mar 2006 18:30 GMT2
I was having one hell of a time keeping my wheels balanced on my 98 Tacoma
4X4. When I go between 55 and 65 it shakes pretty bad, at times.. I don't
think I had the problems until I bought tires from Sam's club and they put
them on and balanced. Then after a while I started a ...
Sequoia "true" gas mileage?06 Mar 2006 08:57 GMT5
Hey all!
I'm been looking into upgrading from my '96 Taco to either a 4Runner or Sequoia.
Given that my kids are getting to the age I'll probably be shuttling soccer
teams, etc., I'm liking the extra seating capacity of the Sequoia.   However,
RAV4 keyless entry question05 Mar 2006 21:44 GMT5
Hey everybody, please forgive my ignorance. A friend of mine recently
purchased a 2002 Rav which didn't come with the keyless entry fobs. The
seller gave her two at no charge that needed to be programmed. She went
to the Toyota dealer and was told that it would be a few hundred
