Any special recommendations?

TLC vs LX47009 Apr 2006 20:19 GMT1
All -
Besides the obvious flair, is there any mechanical or structural
differences between the two?  Ironically, the LX470 seem to be selling
for 10-20% less retail than the Land Cruiser.   Do the aftermarket
2006 Tacoma08 Apr 2006 22:24 GMT5
Anybody care to comment on the Tacoma transmission?  I'm reading a lot of
negative reviews regarding the 6 speed manual transmission that comes with
the V6.  I prefer a manual, but many insist that the automatic is the only
way to go with the V6.  Comments?

Anyone got a 05 or 06 Tacoma with the JBL system and the Sub Woofer?  My sub

Clutch type and towing07 Apr 2006 15:58 GMT7
Hey All,
Got a quick question for everyone.  I have a 97 Tacoma 2WD 4cyl and
need to tow a 2000lb tent trailer (say like once a month or so on non
hilly areas).  The clutch that is in the truck right now needs to be
Changing the oil on a 2006 Tundra07 Apr 2006 06:06 GMT14
Changing the oil on my 2006 Tundra turned out to be a major 2 hour
project.   And, as much as I like my Tundra Toyota could have a better
design. Here's my findings:
A large oil pan is needed.  My Tundra uses 6.5 quarts of oil.
84 22r ps belt tensioner06 Apr 2006 03:03 GMT5
Old Chevy guy here, used to tightening belts with a cheater bar.
Power steering belt snapped.  Is the tensioning screw the one in the
middle of the idler pulley?  Is there a nut on the underside, or just a
matter of turning the capscrew until desired tension.  Is there a lock nut?
Anti-theft Radio unlock06 Apr 2006 00:38 GMT2
4Rnr battery went dead after 4+ years.  I recall setting the radio
anti-theft code but (argh) never wrote it down.  Tried all my favorite PIN 3
digit combos.  After 9 tries got the lock - so now it says HELP.  I did find
a 6 digit unlock sequence but how do you enter it? --- same ...

Guys\Gals,
98 Tacoma, clock intermittently cuts out, well it is out most of the time
actually, you can "flick" it with your finger and it will come on sometimes
then it will eventually fade out.....question is, is it hard to get to it to

automatic transmission shift linkage cable from carb sticks03 Apr 2006 10:56 GMT4
I've got an '87 pickup that has a problem with the transmission shift
points.  It shifts at a much higher RPM than it should.  The problem is
being caused by a sticking cable from the throttle to the transmission.
Today it wouldn't shift out of first as the cable stuck completely ...
