1996 4Runner Stalling Problem13 Jun 2006 08:51 GMT3
I have a 1996 4-Runner V6 SR5 with about 150k miles on it. Thus far,
I've performed all major tune-ups at Toyota dealerships and intend to
bring it in this summer for another.
For the most part, the car still runs great and when the engine is cold
Wiring diagram for a 86 22R Automatic Pickup13 Jun 2006 08:33 GMT4
I'm trying to diagnose a problem with my Overdrive on my 86 Toyota pickup
with a 22R, and of course automatic transmission.  I solved two problems
with the system already.  First the wires connecting the shifter switch were
cut.  No problem rewired the switch.  Then replaced the ...
265 70 R17 BF Goodrich AT's on my Tundra... seems to work13 Jun 2006 08:03 GMT6
Well, I put these tires on my new Tundra.  I could not stomach any more
rolling around on the Dueler H/T's that came with it new... they have
terrible traction in any kind of mud and just looked too easy to pop
like balloons <g>.  So anyway, this was the closest size in a BFG AT,

Clutch problem, slave or master cylinder?12 Jun 2006 01:43 GMT2
For about a month now, ive been having problems when pushing the
clutch in.  Sometimes it would get "stuck" and not come back up when I
release it.  Ive never worked on a clutch system before, but from what
ive read it could be the slave and/or master cylinder.
Clutch Cylinder Rot11 Jun 2006 23:22 GMT5
So why do the cylinders in my 1988 Toyota pickup rot out
about every 4 years, when the brake cylinders go for 10+?
Anybody?
1997 Rav4 Opinions?11 Jun 2006 22:23 GMT2
My wife has been looking at a 1997 Rav4 4x4 4cylinder with ~120K Km on
it. Just wondering:
1.) in general how are these cars?
2.) reliability, initial quality, expectations of durability
92 five speed manual11 Jun 2006 21:16 GMT3
My trans started popping out of gears so I got another at a wrecking yard.
It does not pop out of gear but it is difficult to shift into 4th without
grinding gears. Is this a simple adjustment problem  or should I return it to
the dismantler for a refund? mr_ed@isp.com.
22RE RV Cam adjustments11 Jun 2006 18:15 GMT8
I just installed an RV cam in my 86 toyota pickup, 22RE, carbureted.
I am not getting any boost in power.
Is there some trick to adjusting the carb, timing, or valve gaps?
I installed a new head, and entire front end.
Stick shift question11 Jun 2006 13:10 GMT6
Ever since I've driven a stick, I've known that if you can't get into
reverse, you slip the shifter to 2nd, and then reverse. I'm teaching my son
to drive at the moment, and he asked why this works. Damned if I know.

Rough Idle in El Salvador09 Jun 2006 12:45 GMT4
I have a 98 Tacoma 4X4 with 96,000 miles, automatic, 4 cylinder.
It runs great, but when I stop at a traffic light, etc., it idles
rough. Does not seem to be a low idle. I usually put it in neutral and
it helps a little. I'm not tech savvy with the newer automotive
Transmission swap08 Jun 2006 02:15 GMT4
I have an 04 Toyota 2.4L standard cab, 2WD, 15" wheels, with a 5 speed
transmission. I live in the city and after 10,000 miles, I'm tired of
shifting. Is it possible to change this 5 speed to an automatic with a
floor shifter? If so, about how much would this cost?
89 Toyota Pickup Troubles07 Jun 2006 13:45 GMT4
Driving along at highway speed in my son's 89 pickup 4 cyl fuel injected.
Suddenly it just died. Got it over to the side to find that all the
electrical stuff worked but the vehicle wouldn't start.
Towed it home but couldn't find the problem. I assumed that it was a fuel
