Parking and Battery Light On28 Sep 2006 15:23 GMT3
I have a '90 4Runner 4x4 with 300,000 miles. While on vacation I
parked  the truck in a cool and damp location. Each day when the truck
was first started I nitced that both the parking brake and battery
light would come on along with the battery level meter being in the
OBD codes 14 and 71 diagnostic procedures?27 Sep 2006 03:56 GMT2
I just got my 92 3VZE 4x4 xxtra cab truck back from the mechanic (for
head replacement). After about 20 miles of driving, the "check engine
light" came on after about 5 miles of highway driving. I stopped,
checked it out, and after convincing myself that it wasn't anything
Trailer Hitch Recommendation27 Sep 2006 03:18 GMT9
I'm looking for a recommendation on trailer hitch brands.  I have a 2006
Tacoma PreRunner V-6.  Should I get a Toyota hitch or an aftermarket brand?
If aftermarket, what brand is recommended?

Shock replacement?26 Sep 2006 20:08 GMT6
The rear end of my 1991 4X2 extended cab seems to be slumping. Over the
years I have carried some heavy loads and have just put my fiberglass cap
back on. About 5 years ago I put helper springs on the back leaf springs and
I think it helped, but now the rear seems to be "dragging". ...

I lost my remote for my 4 runner. I bought one on E-Bay. How do I program
it to work on my 4 runner without taking it to a dealer and costing me an
arm and a leg.

Been offered a 95 3.0 v6 4runner which needs a new rear diff. Don't like the
prices that Toyota are quoting here in the UK and can't find a similar one
being broken.
Do the rear diff's out of anything else fit?????????????
22re Head Interchangability: a cautionary tale25 Sep 2006 01:59 GMT2
Just a bit of info learned the hard way.
I have a 93 pickup 22re, which was replaced due to terminal body cancer
by a 92 pickup with the same 22re.
Looking ahead, I held onto the 93 as an organ donor.

Identify Rear Axle?25 Sep 2006 01:50 GMT1
I have a Toyota pickup rear end (2WD) which is not in a vehicle and I'm
trying to identify it as a 7.5" or 8" ring gear. I believe it to be an '84
model. From what I've read, most 2WD models had the 7.5" ring gear, but some
may have an 8" even though 2WD. Here's what I know about ...

Asked a couple of days ago about the 80s 22re motor in the 92 pickup I
bought 6 months ago.  (Surprise!)
Does anyone know if the timing covers are the same on the older and
newer 22re's?  I noted when I removed the cover that the previous

I work for a towing company and i have a problem.  One of my employees

that he traveled around 150 miles and when he got back to the shop,
dark dashboard instrument panel24 Sep 2006 11:11 GMT3
I have a 2001 Toyota Tundra. About two days ago, I noticed that the
speedometer and other gauges will not light up. All of the other lights
on the truck, including the dome lights, bed light, running lights,
