Very Dumb Question -- my apologies in advance! Sorry to be so clueless.
I have an '03 Tacoma, full bed, one bench seat. Bad choice -- because my
wife had never driven any truck, and the dealer was on a busy main
highway; so I did the only test drive, and just didn't think.

How do you check transmission fluid levels and add fluid if necessary for
a  4.7 liter V8? For the life of me, I can't find a dip stick leading to the
transmission and the owner's manual doesn't address it. There is a small plug
next to the drain plug on the transmission pan that ...

I have a new to me '92 4wd extended cab pickup. It has the automatic
locking hubs. I put it into 4WD every day to avoid spinning either
rear tire as I go up a gravel drive. The rear is just too light to

How can an igniter be tested?  Are they prone to breakage or wearing out?  I
am replacing the distributor and coil on my 1991 toyota pickup but am
shocked to learn a new igniter is about $485.00!

!996, T100, V6 automatic. Starter sparatic ( like 2 out of 10 tries) drags
or just clicks but most times, after several tries it will start.

The wire bundle going to the back of the truck fell off of the hanger
and landed on the exhaust (sometime ago). I was in the mountains at the

I need a complete head. I have seen aftermarket heads from $300.00 to
$700.00 (LC Engineering) I would like know if anyone on the group has a
recommended vendor ?? I don't do much offroading but want the best

I have a new '06 Rav4 nearing an oil change.  I've used Synthetic in my
other 2 cars since they were new, but Toyota recommends one NOT use
Synthetic oil.
Is it because (a) they want to support the local Toyota dealership garages

idler pulley? it's not this one:

I'm looking at a 2006 4x4, 4 cylinder, manual, with SR5 package. This
does not have limited slip, and is not an option.
