I'm sure I've never done this right. So please help! I'm about to install a new alternator in my 92 Toyota PU 22RE. I've read the service manual, but I don't have the belt tension gauges discussed in the manual.

Hi I have a 2001 Tacoma. I'm wondering is it possible to change the color of the light or lights in the dashboard or instrument console? It appears to be an orange light, so can I just put in another color? Thanks,

How the heck do you remove that bolt? I was able to get a socket to it, but had no room to move the ratchet arm to loosen it. I went though the wheel well for the lower mounting bolt as well as the banjo bolts. Kind of claustrophobic to get my right arm and head into wheel

I have about 5000 miles on a newly rebuilt 22re engine. I'm getting a tapping noise from the valve in the back on cold start. The noise almost entirely goes away once engine is fully warmed up. Is this something I should worry about? Is there something I can do to quiet

My Google search failed to turn up any good articles on cleaning and re-gapping spark plugs. Anybody can point me, a beginner, to such an article? Also, what my search taught me was that these used plugs says

under the hood of the truck, there is the check connecter, on the b+ should there be 12 volts and if so what is the problem that there isnt 12 volts,the volts is less then 3 its like 2.48 and the computer has 2.48 volts going into it

Was wonder about heating issue with 22RE engine. When I drive my truck in warm air temperature or on sand (increased engine stress), the engine temperature gauge displays in the middle or about 3/4 of the way up the meter. It will go to red only if I am running it hard on soft

Does any one know exactly was it does as opposed to the standard protection that comes with a FJCruiser? I've asked a number of salesman at Toyota dealerships and nobody knows for sure. They contradict each other... Help would be appreciated...

I have never been able to make my Homelink garage door opener work with my Genie IS900. Dealer says the unit is working ok. My Lexus works ok with the door, and I have tried every combination posted without success. Anyone else have this issue?

Engine cranks. Occasionally starts but idles very rough at very low rpm. The truck didnt have any preceeding symptoms beore suddenly quitting. Tested fuel supply by taking the line off the rail, and there was good fuel pressure

Broke my chain today on my '90 PU. I have 185,000 mi on it, and I actually changed the chain 20k miles ago when the guides failed! (Needed a new timing cover too as the chain wore through the original.) Replacement chain was purchased at Schucks: did they sell me a cheap
