Had brakes redone about 12k ago....and also a bearing on the driveline
replaced. Since then the truck has had a slight vibration....now the
vibrations is more noticeable when braking......
Anyone ever experience this before and if so what will remedy the problem?

I have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma with just under 200k miles on it. While on
a road trip, the engine threw a rod. My neighbor told me that if I
found a replacement engine, he could swap it for me. So, i got an
engine, had the truck towed back to the house. A long story short, got

My Tacoma has 187,000 on it. I have no history on the truck from 175,000 mi
back. Truck starts and runs fine. I really like this truck and plan on

Turns out Toyota may be one of the makes where infrequent oil changes may
result in engine sludge and engine seizures.

I was researching a problem with my 22RE engine and found this group.
My problem appears to be a common one;  the timing chain has worn a
hole in the cover.  The shop where I took it has told me that I'd be
better off either junking the truck or going w/ a reman engine.  Any

    Someone I know has a 1988 Toyota pickup with the 22RE and automagic
transmission. I have not seen his truck recently but he told me it will
not engage reverse anymore but can go to any other gear. What should he
be checking into first?

Turns out I won't be able to use a tonneau cover for the bed so I'll
have to go with a basic+ shell: tail brake light, dome light and the
optional forward/cabin opening window.

I currently own 3 Toyota trucks
(85' 1-ton, 86' xtra-cab longbed, and 87' xtra-cab longbed).
I have rebuilt several 22RE's, I did 6 head-gaskets last year for myself
