| 2007 Toyota Tacoma--High Pitched Whine | 31 Oct 2007 10:32 GMT | 9 |
I just bought a brand new 2007 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Package. Great truck, but when I get it up to 75-80 mph on the freeway, it exhibits a weird, intermittent whining sound. It is clearly caused by wind noise (not a mechanical issue), and only when a strong side gust hits. It's

| Hood Latch Cable | 28 Oct 2007 20:31 GMT | 1 |
Given the excellent security provided in my 1993 Toyota Truck, changing a broken hood latch cable looks to be a daunting task. The typical Haynes and Chiltons are no help. Is there any simple way of unlatching the hood without destroying the grill?

Looking for a cross-reference for the right rear axle shaft, part number 42311-35430 (this supercedes 42311-35110). I got this number from the Toyota dealer when they entered the VIN, so it is the right one.

I'm looking at trying to buy a new "Plain Jane" standard cab Tacoma. So far the local dealers are more interested in wasting my time. Anyone know a good dealer somewhere near Tucson? Or are all Toyota dealers beyond reach? What about somewhere between Tucson and St. Louis? Could ...

| 90 4x4 22RE acceleration problem | 20 Oct 2007 07:32 GMT | 2 |
I have a stubborn problem with acceleration on my 1990 4x4 Toyota truck with 22RE engine. It has poor acceleration in almost any gear UNTIL I either floor the accelerator OR the RPM climbs high enough (perhaps over 3000 rpm?).

I have an old Toyota pickup that needs a new axle seal and need to get the brake drum off the rear axle, but it is frozen solid. I tried the old torch trick, but this didn't work this time. Any ideas on how to remove it?
