Will Head Fit ?31 Oct 2007 23:56 GMT2
Toyota truck, 22R Auto.  I'm trying to put a 1984 head on a 1985 block. 1984
Timing chain too long, 1985 chain too short.
Can this be done? Please help if you can.
Thanks!
2007 Toyota Tacoma--High Pitched Whine31 Oct 2007 10:32 GMT9
I just bought a brand new 2007 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Package. Great
truck, but when I get it up to 75-80 mph on the freeway, it exhibits a
weird, intermittent whining sound. It is clearly caused by wind noise
(not a mechanical issue), and only when a strong side gust hits. It's
Hood Latch Cable28 Oct 2007 20:31 GMT1
Given the excellent security provided in my 1993 Toyota Truck, changing
a broken hood latch cable looks to be a daunting task.
The typical Haynes and Chiltons are no help.  Is there any simple
way of unlatching the hood without destroying the grill?
86 1 Ton RR Axle Shaft - Needs Replacement26 Oct 2007 22:26 GMT2
Looking for a cross-reference for the right rear axle shaft, part
number 42311-35430 (this supercedes 42311-35110).  I got this number
from the Toyota dealer when they entered the VIN, so it is the right
one.
Clutch or Transmission26 Oct 2007 21:41 GMT7
I have a 1994 V6 Toyota Truck manual 5 speed.
Recently shifting into 3rd and 4th gear fill tight. I don't have to
force the stick in but it fills snug sliding in.
I will take in to the dealer soon but need advice of what to expect.
96 Tocoma check engine light26 Oct 2007 17:39 GMT2
I have just bought a 96 tocoma with the 4 cyl engine.  The check engine
light is on.  It was missing on # 2 cyl. and had oil around the plug and
plug wire.  Cleaning that up and replacing the plug has it running good now.
How do I determine if the miss on #2 is what caused the ...

Thanks...
New Tacoma prices23 Oct 2007 04:39 GMT5
I'm looking at trying to buy a new "Plain Jane" standard cab Tacoma. So far
the local dealers are more interested in wasting my time. Anyone know a good
dealer somewhere near Tucson? Or are all Toyota dealers beyond reach?
What about somewhere between Tucson and St. Louis? Could ...
90 4x4 22RE acceleration problem20 Oct 2007 07:32 GMT2
I have a stubborn problem with acceleration on my 1990 4x4 Toyota
truck with 22RE engine.
It has poor acceleration in almost any gear UNTIL I either floor the
accelerator OR the RPM climbs high enough (perhaps over 3000 rpm?).
Interesting 4WD behavior, 92 PU20 Oct 2007 04:02 GMT9
To all,
I have a '92 extra cab 4WD pickup with the V6 and automatic hubs. I
had new BF Goodrich tires put on it about a month ago. I forget the
tire name but I think they are the mud/terrain TA tires. Anyway, the
Is This a Bad Deal on a Tacoma?19 Oct 2007 21:18 GMT5
Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a used Toyota Tacoma, and I found the perfect one
for me last weekend online.  The exact color and body style that I
want.  Unfortunatley, the price makes me cringe.  14K for a 2002 with
Tire Warning Light19 Oct 2007 12:26 GMT17
Have a '06 Tacoma. My winter tires are on the original wheels with the
pressure sensors. My other tires are on wheels without pressure sensors.
Sometimes the light goes on, sometimes the light goes off on the wheels
without the sensors. I'd like to take out the warning light bulb ...

Headache Rack?17 Oct 2007 12:15 GMT3
I need a headache rack for my 2007 Tacoma. The bed and rails seem to be
mostly plastic. What does one attach it to nowadays? Does anyone make a
headache rack that will work on these newer beds?
Thanks
Removing frozed brake drum16 Oct 2007 08:12 GMT7
I have an old Toyota pickup that needs a new axle seal and need to get the
brake drum off the rear axle, but it is frozen solid.  I tried the old torch
trick, but this didn't work this time.  Any ideas on how to remove it?
