Two weks ago, I came here and asked about my Tundra w/101K miles on it and
it's need of a new timimng belt.
I received some nice, detailed replies and thought I'd give you an update.
I went to two independent Toyota 'garages' and got quotes from them on the

OK, I'm being anal about this.  I admit it.
In my '08 Tacoma 4 cyl. with 1000 miles, I've only used mid-grade gas so
far.  On the pump at Chevron, regular claimed 87 octane and mid-grade
claimed 89.

I have a little problem with my power steering of my 2000 Tundra 4.7.
He doesn't work when turning on left side (power arm 8-) but is ok
when turning on the right . No leak at all. The level of fluid is

My son has a 2001 4-Runner.  We've finally got the shocks changed on the
front but are baffled as to how to get to the top of the rear shocks for
removing them.  Where is the access?

Everyone thinks Toyota diesel 4-Runners and pickups are impossible to

pickup, 2wd a/t, 22re with electronic push button o/d on column shift.
use to kick in when warm now not at all. tranny seems fine. changed
fluid, tested connectors amongst a few other checks, and tests. But

I am always trying to find part to fix up my 84 Taco, well a buddy of
mine said that the new lowe toyota in warner robins is going to have a
massive parts shop online within the month. It sure beats having to
drive to a junk yard or to atlanta to find parts for the 84taco. I

My pinion shaft seal just started leaking at 303,000 miles.  I was
reading in the manual about preload torque on the pinion gear.
Anybody have any experience with this??  Mechanically it looks like an
fairly easy job.  Thanks.

I own a 2001 V-8 Tundra with 102,000 miles.
It runs great. I was recently told that it is way overdue
for a timing belt change and the nearest dealer wants
a small fortune to do that repair. Is this necessary or
