Bad vibration durign idle speed.27 Feb 2008 03:00 GMT4
My 1999 Toyota Tacoma vibrates badly during idle speed.  I've taken it
to a few mechanics and they were unable to fix the problem.  One
mechanic suggested changing the engine mounts.  This fix didn't change
the vibration.  The truck only gets the vibration after the car is

2008 Tacoma19 Feb 2008 21:26 GMT5
Just checked the toyota Web page on the 08 Tacoma.  MPG estimates are listed
as 20/25 for 4 cyl. 5 speed.  Does anyone know if something has changed to
drop the estimates from the 23/28 listed for the 07?
Got my 07 Access Cab, 4 cyl, 5 spd, a few months ago.  If I drive 65 it has
2008 Tacoma 4cyl19 Feb 2008 06:48 GMT14
I just bought a 2008 Tacoma 4cyl 4a.
I'm pleased with the truck. Sitting at idle, the engine is so smooth
and quiet that I have to concentrate to detect whether it's running.
I owned an old 92 Pickup for 15 years, and the 22R-E engine was not

Just bought a 2000 Tundra and would like to wire it for trailer lights and
brake controler.
Does anyone have experience with doing this?  There is a wiring connector up
inside the bumper that looks like it might be pre-wired for a kit to plug
timing belt on 2000 tundra16 Feb 2008 23:01 GMT3
Recently traded for a 2000 Tundra with 118000 miles on it.  It has the 4.7

I do not know the history on the vehicle, but it runs good and seems to be
in good shape.

I recently acquired a 2002 4X4 Tacoma with 74K miles (5 speed)
whenever I put it into 1st and start out unless I ease the clutch out
extremely slow and apply the exact amount of pressure to the
accelerator the truck jerks, same thing happens when I shift into
'06 Tundra V8 - oil foaming?11 Feb 2008 12:09 GMT9
Has anyone else noticed a foaming buildup on the underside of the oil filler
cap on the 4.7L Tundra V8?  I do regular oil changes at 3 months or 3000

appearance of the oil seem fine and its not burning oil ...
RAV4--no more manual transmissions?09 Feb 2008 18:08 GMT32
I'm contemplating buying another RAV4 (I've had 3 in a row, and I love
them!), but after looking around online it appears they're no longer

although a little too offset to simply slide a new bolt in there.  The
manual that I have says that I need to torque the replacement bolt to
