1983 Toyota, dead starter?13 May 2008 16:42 GMT2
I drove my 1983 toyota pickup (SR5, 22R 4 cyl.) for about 15 hours
from Utah to New Mexico without problems.  The next day I got up,
started it up, drove into town, turned it off, and when I came back
out, it wouldn't start.  It's not the typically click of bad starter
Paint Code13 May 2008 05:44 GMT4
2008 Tacoma  Double Cab 4x4
Where is the paint code?
Also does Toyota use RPO codes like GM or is that just a GM thing.
If they do, where might the RPO codes be?
Jumping out of 3rd12 May 2008 21:36 GMT4
Lately, when I shift down from 4th to 3rd, it jumps out of 3rd.  It doesn't
happen in any other gear and doesn't jump out when it's under power.
My truck is an '85 SR5 Extra Cab with 2wheel drive and a 5speed and the 22RE
engine.

Mine have flaked away and look pretty bad.  Called Toyota and they didn't
know.  Anyone have

Metal Key Number Plate09 May 2008 02:32 GMT7
Hey guys, I've got a question for the brain trust...
I just bought a 2007 Tacoma Prerunner 2x4. It did not come with the
little metal Key Number Tag or whatever it is. I have a black (master)
key and a gray regular key, each with a remote.
power window motor08 May 2008 13:27 GMT4
I own a 2001 Tundra and one of the power windows just died.
It's the passenger side front door. The other window works fine so
it doesn't appear to be a fuse. I got quoted a price of 200.00
to replace the motor, that includes the motor and labor.
rear slider window seal05 May 2008 01:39 GMT1
The seal on the window, where it slides back has popped out of place,
any easy quick fixes
the truck is a 08 tacoma and still under factory warrenty BUT i figure
if its a easy fix i will do it myself.
2006 Tundra Cargo Lights04 May 2008 20:04 GMT-
I didn't think to remove the bulbs from the cargo light before I
installed a camper shell.  Are they fused separately?  If so, what
fuse.  When I park for weeks while camping I worry that the battery
will run down, since they come on every time a door is opened.  Thanks
$500 to $600 for Toyota Shop or Service Manuals?03 May 2008 00:05 GMT2
Is this the correct price for shop manuals today?  Any CD or DVD available
with shop/service manuals on it?  And for much less?
Drivers side floor - soaked02 May 2008 03:03 GMT4
Everytime it rains, the floor is soaked on the drivers side.
if I feel the carpet under the pedals, it seems dry.
Any suggestions where the water can be coming from.
I was thinking that the seal might be broke on the windshiled but thought
Dash board lights always on -- '08 Tacoma02 May 2008 01:22 GMT8
I have an '08 Tacoma SR5 4x4.  It's a great truck.  Biggest pain in the
arse is the fact that the dashboards lights are always on.  Not like other
vehicles where the dashboard lighting is 'off' until you turn the
headlights 'on'.
What other gaskets besides headgasket need replacing?01 May 2008 03:48 GMT-
I believe the timing chain (and it's components) need changing in my
1995 Toyota 4-Runner,22R-E with 227 000 KM.  I am aware that there are
two ways to change the timing chain parts leaving the cylinder head on
which is easier but timing cover may leak oil at the top where it
