Front Rotor replacement on a 93 4Runner29 Mar 2009 08:58 GMT1
I've got a 93 4WD 4Runner.  It's gotten to the point where I can't stand the
steering wheel shake during light braking.  Since I have to replace the
front pads anyways, I decided to replace the rotors as well.  Since it's a
locked front assembly is there anything special I need ...

I noticed this has been posted but mine will start easily if boosted.
About a week ago it would not start or barely turn over, I get a
clicking with my 22re toyota pickup (88), battery seems good. If I
boost it with a battery pack, it starts well. I also once plugged it

2008 6 cyl. 6 speed, 19,000 miles, yellow engine light came on steady,not
blinking.  No indication of overheating, gauge still in the middle.  Started
and ran ok for about 10 miles then started sounding like a diesel engine,
got on city streets and stalled.  Waited 5 minutes and ...

Have a 93 4Runner, since new. Has about 160k miles. Always had
maintenance at manual specified intervals.
I'm up here in Canada near the end of a cold winter. I'm semi-retired
and work Tue, Wed & Thursday.

I have sent for a power steering seal kit, and it appears I can
probably replace the seals myself--- and may the gods take pitty
on me: I have never done the job before.
Does anyone have advice on the subject they would be kind enough

1997 Four Runner EFI 5 speed, just got this truck, & I don't know the
history. The rack is shot, & I can't get the key to go to the start
position. It's "locked", by the bad rack/sterring wheel lock, I guess.
I triggered the start relay for the soleniod to trigger the starter,
