03 corolla - "tinkling" noise with gentle acceleration ..25 May 2005 18:41 GMT9
I have an automatic 03 Corolla with 53,000km's. It's making a light,
metalic, tinkling noise when I accelerate gently. When I press the gas
harder you can't hear it - but it never seems to go awaye even after
the car's been driven on longer runs - it keeps on tinkling. I thought

Camry vs Accord ?25 May 2005 08:39 GMT20
It seems to me like these two companies make the best cars.  I'm retired and
need to get a good four door and my main concerns are reliabliity, low cost
maintenance and initial cost.  I would consider a year or two year old also.

Matrix Serpentine Belt Squeal25 May 2005 08:33 GMT6
I have an '04 Matrix named Virginia. She's got about 23,000 miles on
her odometer and has developed an embarrasing squealing noise coming
from her serpentine belt. Virginia started making this noise during the
coldest part of the past Massachusetts winter. The noise comes and
Toyota Security System Issue25 May 2005 05:50 GMT4
One of my close friends purchased an 01 Camry XLE from a private party and
is generally very pleased with the car; however, he's had it about ten days
and the Toyota alarm (horn and lights) has unilaterally (that is, in
daylight, without any provocation [large trucks, car thieves ...

NEW PROFESSIONAL PAINT CHIP AND SCRATCH TOUCHUP KIT.
Now for the first time you can get the same results dealers enjoy. If you
can wash and wax your car you can eliminate those unsightly paint chips and
scratches leaving the painted surface smooth and shining like it was new.
Warning to Vibe/Matrix owners24 May 2005 18:16 GMT37
My son had what appeared to be a relatively minor crash last week.  Hit on
the right front, while making a left turn from a standstill, police
estimated him at under 5 mph, other car (taxi .... what else?) at about 20
mph. Damage appeared confined to right front, and a couple of ...

Looking to get a scion tl for one of my children. Have purchased
a number of new cars in my life, never at a "price fixed, no hassle type of
car like saturn or scion"
Question is before I go to stealership, is there really no

Anyway the thing was working great for awhile and now blows the
2004 Corolla rear view mirror23 May 2005 22:41 GMT2
My daughter's corolla has a rear view mirror (has reading lights built
in) that seems to vibrate (when looking into it as I drive the car at
30 mph or so) a bit too much.  When I touch it, it seems like the
whole assembly is pretty tight but the mirror just vibrates enough to

98 4runner rear seal23 May 2005 11:39 GMT1
New to this group-- with a question. My wife's 98 4runner rear axle
started leaking on the passenger side yesterday. I usually do my own
maintenance and wonder if anyone can tell me how hard a job it is to
pull the axle and install a new seal and bearing if needed? Also
1990 Toyota Camry, check-engine light comes on, car doesn't accellerate, stalls23 May 2005 07:17 GMT8
My car runs, but sometimes, not every time I drive it, the check engine
light comes on, and the car won't accelerate when I step on the gas, and
sometimes it dies, and won't start again right away. I have to just sit and
wait. Then, all of a sudden, it starts just fine, light goes ...
