Is the engine on the right or left?05 Jun 2005 22:09 GMT4
So an 02 Highlander comes in yesterday, about 25k on the odometer,
complaining of a slipping transmission and black smoke from the tailpipe.
Hmmm.  Indeed, I can't even drive it in the shop, so we get a few guys to
push it in. Sure enough, the trans dipstick is bone dry. But wait, ...

I got a brochure on the Toyota Sienna and the brochuce says that a tow
package is standard on all models...this includes tranny cooler, etc. Anyone
know if this is true?  I called a local Toyota salesman and he did not have
a clue about the tow package.

Tranny whistling after accident05 Jun 2005 07:18 GMT2
I own a '95 Corolla (75k miles) that was involved in an accident (front
collision, bumper + hood + radiator). The car was fixed at the dealer
shop.

How do you get the rear speakers out of a 1995 Corolla???05 Jun 2005 00:18 GMT4
I have the shop manual.  I have the owner's manual.  I've studied both
from cover to cover  --- I read the Body Electrical section of the shop
manual in total, and dug around in related sections... no joy!
There's that cover that goes over the back, and essentially separates
What is the location of windshield washer bottle in Echo 200104 Jun 2005 22:48 GMT2
I bought 2001 Toyota Echo last week. I have been going nuts trying to find
the windshield washer bottle. Even my mechanic looked when inspected the car
but could not locate it. Any help on where it should be would be
appreciated. TIA.

05 Camry spony brakes ?03 Jun 2005 11:46 GMT12
We drove several Camry LEs 4 cyl, 5 spd and found nearly everything on par
with Accords, Altimas, Sonatas and Galants except that the brake pedal felt
quite spongy.  Have others noticed the spongyness and if so what's the
reason?

Use the parking brake or brake while the car is moving backwards?

Toyota Avalon02 Jun 2005 23:45 GMT10
I'm considering getting a new 2005 Avalon.  Would like to hear from a few
people that own one.  I heard that some have trouble with the transmission.
Is it true?  The dealers seem to be selling them as fast as they get them.
This, of course, makes them very reluctant to give good ...

2005 tacoma pricing02 Jun 2005 19:30 GMT4
I'm getting bids of over $1000 over invioce, not to mention the dealer
holdback of about 2% base msrp.
Toyota is not offering rebates on it so they must be selling fast.
Any tips on getting a better price?
Echo now an orphan?02 Jun 2005 17:01 GMT38
I just heard today that Toyota will no longer produce the Echo.  Does
anyone know if that is really the case?  I haven't been able to find
confirmation.
