A public service message to all the red state pointy heads infesting

The owner's manual for my 2001 RAV4 says to "inspect" engine valve
clearance at 4 years / 60,000 miles.  My trusted independent mechanic
says that the book calls for 8 hours of labor, and suggested that the
Toyota dealer might be able to do it cheaper.  Failing in that, he

Car is 2003 Corolla, symptom was that the serpentine drive belt started

didn't spend the money on one.  I asked the dealer parts shop how much for a
belt, and he mentioned that he had sold a few tensioners for ...

I suppose this can apply to any product but in this case I am thinking
of tires:
(1) I can buy a pricier model which will last a long time, but then I'd
have an old tire most of that time.

Speedometer24 Jun 2005 15:12 GMT44
I went through a Radar sign that gives your speed and what the speed
limit is. I had my 2005 Corolla nailed at 35 mph and the radar
fluctuated between 32 and 33 mph.Who do I believe? My Corolla is a CE
with the smaller tires. Does Toyota use all the same speedometer parts

Lucky me, I have never had a flat tire that I had to deal with myself,

car to nearly stall out (power dies for a second or two, but recovers
