94 Celica A/C26 Jul 2005 21:59 GMT5
My girl has a 94 Celica ST and the A/C doesn't work correctly.  She was
told by a dealership a while back it was due to a missing or faulty idler.
The vehicle does idle rough when the A/C is engaged.  Is anyone familiar
with this, know how to identify one in case it's missing, or ...
Highlander control problem26 Jul 2005 19:10 GMT5
I'm hoping one or more of you can help with this problem.
My 2001 Highlander (50,000 miles, 6cyl AWD) started to raod-slap and
felt as if I'd just blown a tire.  I was doing 60 +/- 2 on a smooth
highway and was about 65 miles into a an 80 mile road trip that for the
Highlander Tune up?26 Jul 2005 18:55 GMT11
Dealer is going to charge my something like $500 for a tune up on my
2001 Highlander with 60,000 miles. What's involved and what's really
necessary. Anything I can do on my own? Plugs and wires are easy
enough.
05 Highlander towing package26 Jul 2005 16:48 GMT8
All Canadian 6 cylinder Highlanders supposedly have a towing capacity
of 3500 pounds.  I understand that, in the USA, this feature requires a
towing prep package be added to the otherwise 2000 pound towing
capacity.  How can I identify the components that give my vehicle the
Help! Can't pass emissions!26 Jul 2005 16:28 GMT6
Greetings, and thank you in advance for reading and responding.
Having difficulty getting my 1990 Toyota Celica GT to pass the Utah
State Emissions test. I've had my emissions run 5 times with various
different failures. I only have the paper on my most recent failure to
Third brake light, how to replace it??26 Jul 2005 05:23 GMT10

Found On Road Dead26 Jul 2005 03:49 GMT4
Took a 2400 mile road trip in my '01 Camry  recently and took note of
the model of the cars I saw dead on the side of the road with no one
attending to them (I guess my little mind count answers the question
'what will you think about now that you don't have to be concerned with
VBoiling brake fluid, one more time...26 Jul 2005 01:48 GMT1
So, I got the slider working just like it should. Took it out for a short
ride and felt the wheel, no hotter than any of the others.
So, today I drive the thing to work. A little over 1/2 way I get that old
familiar smell, pull over into a parking area (at the local 'ballet', if
Avalon trunklid latch: I WAS WRONG26 Jul 2005 01:44 GMT60
I sounded a false alarm regarding an inabiliy to unlatch the trunklid
when the electric system fails.
THE '05 AVALON IS EQUIPPED WITH A CABLE FOR MANUALLY TRIPPING THE
TRUNKLID LATCH FROM INSIDE THE CAR. THE CABLE IS ACCESSIBLE VIA THE
Boiling brake fluid Redux26 Jul 2005 00:47 GMT14
So, I got the sliders working very nicely. With the car on the jack
stands, I started it up and nailed the brakes. The wheel is still
sticking, it takes a few rotations for it to free up, but you can still
feel it grabbing. Even after a few rotations, it still grabs. Now, my
taillights are broken - How much will this cost me?25 Jul 2005 19:53 GMT16
The taillights on one side of my 2000 Camry were broken by someone
while my car was parked.  As shown here:

How much does it cost to fix the taillights?  It looks to me I only
Used truck or van25 Jul 2005 19:37 GMT3
Currently have a 2003 Corolla probably worth 10,000 or so in trade.
What Toyota trucks or vans might be available at the price level?

2006 sienna25 Jul 2005 14:42 GMT1
Is there someone here in the usenet group who actually knows what
changes are coming for the 2006 Sienna?  Especially interested to know
if the 2006 will offer second and third row seats(both rows) fold flat
capablity similar to the long wheelbase Chrysler and Dodge minivans
I miss my Cheesy little cars...25 Jul 2005 05:06 GMT21
Man, I miss the Toyotas I used to drive. I don't mean the actual cars
themselves, but what drew me to Toyota in the first place; an inexpensive
little car that would run all week for $5 in gas, didn't have a lot of
refinement but was a blast to drive.
'89 Corolla strange A/C problem (heat mixing with AC)25 Jul 2005 05:01 GMT1
I have a mechanically excellent '89 Corolla whose AC has worked great
until these past 2 years.  I believe the heat's mixing with the AC and
would appreciate your advice on how to fix it.  The AC does function
and I don't think the issue's low freon.
