Celica 1986 gts needs repair25 Jul 2005 04:56 GMT3
I am the owner of a 1986 Toyota Cellica GTS with a few problems.  Right
now its sitting in my dads driveway unusable.  He wants to get rid of
it but I'd like to try and fix it.
My question is if it is worth trying to repair myself.
94 Corolla: lights on dash board and shift went off25 Jul 2005 00:07 GMT5
All the lights on the dash board (except the left and right "turn
light") couldn't be turned on, also the lights on the shift. I took
out the dash board and checked the lights on the back of the circuit
board. They looked good to me. Should I check the fuse? If so, which
Diesel Gas @ Unleaded Pump24 Jul 2005 23:48 GMT2
I was in a small east Texas town and few months ago and purchased gas
at a convenience store/gas station.  My car (2001 Toyota Camry) spit
and sputtered all the way back home.  The next day it would not crank
at all!  Upon having it towed to a dealership, I was told the tank
Boiling Brake Fluid24 Jul 2005 23:00 GMT14
Drove the Supra today, and on the way home I noticed that smell you get
when a caliper is stuck. Seems the slider is stuck and operates properly
somketimes and not at others. When I pulled into the store to get a cup of
coffee the thing was 'Smokin'!
Stripped oil pan drain hole threads?24 Jul 2005 20:43 GMT49
I have a 2003 Corolla.
I am fairly sure I stripped the threads out of my oil pan drain hole.  The
plug is still in, but I heard the *tink* sound while tightening the plug and
suddenly it got easier.  Now it leaks oil around the drain plug.
96 Avalon air condtioning24 Jul 2005 06:31 GMT1
I was wondering if anyone had a problem like this: Had my Avalon 7 years,
and from the first, the air won't stay on...it cools while the light on the
button is on, but when it flashes it turns off. I turn it back on, it might
work a few seconds, or a few days, then goes back to ...
Problem recharging A/C on Previa24 Jul 2005 06:24 GMT1
The A/C on my '92 Previa was working up to last summer.  I figured that it
had run out of freon, and since freon is no longer available I figured that
I would no longer have air since I wasn't going to pay $1000-3000 to upgrade
the system.
A/C Compressor seals24 Jul 2005 03:20 GMT7
I'm told by my mechanic that my A/C compreesor in my 1987 Celica is working
fine but has blown seals.  He thinks the cost of a new compressor is
prohibitive but says that he cannot find a seal kit.  We will be hunting
the wrecking yards, but I think we would just be replacing ...
'89 Camry wagon brake light wierdness24 Jul 2005 00:16 GMT3
Got a strange issue with my '89 Camry's tail/brake lights.
With the parking/headlights off, both brake lights work fine.
With the parking/headlights on, one side works fine, while the other goes
completely dark.
Tercel jacking points question23 Jul 2005 19:49 GMT11
I have a '96 Tercel DX coupe.  I want to do some brake work on the car.
I'll work on one wheel at a time.  If I use my scissors jack to lift
the car, where can I position a jack stand?  The scissor jack will be
in the jacking point, so I can't put the stand there.  Can I put the
My car won't excel23 Jul 2005 17:25 GMT1
Today I got in my car (after it had been sitting in the sun for most of the
day).  I stated the car, out it in reverse, then when I went to go forward,
my car began to putt and the it leveled out until I stopped again.  What is
the problem?

Ignition problems23 Jul 2005 03:22 GMT3
I wonder if there is someone out there that can recognises a problem
I'm having with my 1992 Toyota Carina E XL 1.6.
The problem is that occasionally the car doesn't start.  On turning the
ignition key nothing happens.  The electrics are OK (the dashboard
