Less Traffic27 Aug 2005 00:35 GMT1
Thursday evening is usually "welcome to the zoo" night at our local
Wal-Mart.  Last night was unusually quiet, as was the gas station out
front.  Just one of the many benefits of high gas prices, it shows that
a lot of people don't really need to be out on the road.
Battery Running Down With "Everything" Off ?26 Aug 2005 19:04 GMT3
Have a '84 Toyota Cressida Waggon as sort of a backup car.
Hardly ever used.
Put in a brand new battery, and find it runs down after about a week or two
just sitting around.  Also have a new alternator.

Finally, after a few minutes, the words came, something that, I think, cover
ed the enormity of the situation and what I was experiencing in my head.
"Breathe," I said. "Respiration is a good thing."
"I'm sorry," Miranda said. "I understand where Tom's coming from, but the th
directional signal bulb burns out often26 Aug 2005 01:18 GMT3
Help I need some thoughts.
The front right directional signal  bulb has burned out twice in 3 weeks.
This 2 filament bulb loses one filament and then triggers a rapid blinking
directional signal only when the headlights or parking lights are on.  This
why no Matrix in Europe?25 Aug 2005 20:10 GMT1
It seems quite similar to Corolla Verso though, which is car sold in Europe.
(I'm in Sweden) Any thoughts - is it the same dimensions?
My "old folks" who live in the US bought a new Matrix and they seem to love
it, it seems like a fine car - but I'm kind of leaning towards a hybrid
Extremely bad fuel economy - 2TZ-FE25 Aug 2005 18:39 GMT17
My 1992 Previa, 2TZ-FE  2WD, auto trans, is (and has done since I've owned
it) getting about 11mpg (22 L /100km).
Is believe this is excessive, and would expect more like 20mpg (12 L/100km).
Am I dreaming expecting this?
AC Fan not working, Can it cause overheating?25 Aug 2005 17:55 GMT3
In my Toyota Cressida 91, the AC fan is not working.  I will check
today the connection and fuses.  The main fan (between engine and
radiator) works fine.
As of now, i can drive the car for hours with the AC on without any
SR5 clutch replace25 Aug 2005 17:45 GMT1
How difficult is it to replace clutch on 1983 Tercel SR5?   It doesn't
need it quite yet, but am trying to anticipate tools, skills and cost
to R/R the clutch.
Thanks,
Why won't Toyota make a hybrid with a plug?25 Aug 2005 06:23 GMT10
The Prius could get 85 mpg and people would love Toyota.
Not much makes me jealous...25 Aug 2005 00:22 GMT10

Supra tranny cooling lines24 Aug 2005 04:08 GMT7
One of the lines going to (or from?) the tranny in my '88 Supra AT 7M-GE
started pissing fluid onto the exhaust pipe, right where the two pipes
come together. This does NOT look like something I want to or should Cob
Job back together.
