I know this question isn't really restricted to Toyota but I ask here because its on my Corolla. I changed the wipers about a 8 months ago and it squeeks and streaks now and annoys my wife when she uses them.

I'll admit despite reading a bit and having people explain automatic transmissions to me I am clueless as to how they work and am more scared when there is a mysterious noise or funny shifting happening with the transmission than if there's a funny noise from the engine.

I was changing the front pads on my 2001 Corolla, and on the passenger side one of the pins appears to be frozen solid. (This is new to me) Do I have to put in a new caliper? Is the brake line easy or hard to disconnect/reconnect? TIA -
