Today I succeeded in adding always-on 12V sockets to my '05 Prius,
thanks in part to specific advice from Ray O and Hachiroku and general

The Prius comes with two 12V power sockets. They are conditioned on the
Questions on 2001 RAV409 Oct 2005 20:18 GMT2
I found a 2001 RAV4 AWD manual transmission and I have a few questions.
1. This was the first model year of the model change - any issues?
2. It was the first year of 2.0 VVT engine - anything to look out for?
I did not see any options for ABS or vehicle stability system, so I
Hood Scoop on Rav4 - Any Useful Purpose?09 Oct 2005 20:10 GMT5
The SP package includes a hood scoop. What for?  Is it merely decoration
(that probably robs you of a little bit of mileage) or does it actually
scoop air into the engine for combustion or purposeful cooling?

Charging/discharging the '05 Prius 12V battery09 Oct 2005 17:14 GMT3
HI. This topic evolved within my thread  about adding always-on 12V
sockets to the Prius.
I know that in the engine compartment's fusebox there's a terminal to
be used for jump-starting the car. In fact it warns it's the ONLY
differential fluid pump09 Oct 2005 12:38 GMT3

I'm considering this pump for changing the differential fluid of my 97
Camry.  Does anyone have any better ideas?  Last time I changed the
fluid it was a mess trying to get the fluid into the differential using
Caligula's horse, Bush's lawyer08 Oct 2005 23:09 GMT8
Caligula put his horse in the Roman Senate (as a Senator) to show his
contempt for it.  Bush has done the same with his idiot personal
lawyer; putting her on the Supreme Court.
"I know her heart"...no I see why Democrats hate this idiot so much.
1986 carbureted Toyota Corolla start problem08 Oct 2005 17:18 GMT2
I have a 1986 Corolla (FWD, 4AC engine) with 50K highway miles (all
mine) that over the past few months has gradually become harder and
harder to start, hot or cold.  It always cranks fine but either dies
right away or chugs and gradually increase in RPM.
Upkeep on Engine08 Oct 2005 16:24 GMT9
I have a 2002 Corolla and just drive around town, never been on
highway.  A man in the service department said it would be a good idea,
the next time I took it in for service, to have them do a "top engine"
service.  This is to clean the engine ....for cars like mine that don't

The dealer labor rate closest to me is $84.00 per hour. I am 20 miles
from Boston. How does that compare with anyone else? It's been that for
the last year.

95 corolla valve job ??08 Oct 2005 02:55 GMT5
I have a 1995 corolla with 113k miles.  I don't believe it has had a
valve job before.  Should I get it done?
I really don't know if it's noisy because I recently got it from a
family member and don't have a baseline for that.
